World coffee price on June 18

The price of coffee on June 18 in the world market went sideways at both major exchanges.

At the time of the survey, the price of Robusta coffee on the London exchange for delivery in July 2023 was kept at $ 2,796/ton. And the price of coffee delivered in September 2023 on this exchange is $ 2,747/ton.

The price of Arabica coffee on the New York exchange delivered in July 2023 was anchored at 184.90 cents/lb. For the September delivery term, the price of coffee on this floor is 180.75 cents/lb.

World coffee prices today remained stable in both London and New York. This week, the global coffee market fluctuates oppositely.

In which, the price of Robusta coffee for spot delivery in July increased by $ 68. Arabica coffee futures for July delivery fell 5.75 cents. 

On June 16, prices on both exchanges increased sharply. In particular, the London exchange re-established the highs of last week before approaching a 15-year high price on June 9, 2023.

But entering the next day, the coffee market price simultaneously fell due to the recovery of the dollar. Funds and speculators liquidated their net positions to reduce risk, as technical indicators showed they had entered the overbought zone. The New York exchange will be closed for a national holiday on the first day of next week.

Thus, the price of coffee on 06/18/2023 in the world market remained stable compared to yesterday.

The price of domestic coffee on June 18

Coffee price on June 18 in the domestic market is sideways compared to yesterday. 

Specifically, the price of Lam Dong coffee (in 3 districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc and Lam Ha) is currently being purchased at VND 66,000 /kg.

In Cu M'gar district (Dak Lak), the price of coffee today remained at VND 66,500/kg. In Ea H'leo and Buon Ho districts, today's coffee price in Dak Lak is at VND 66,400/kg.

Coffee prices in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap of Dak Nong province today were purchased at VND 66,700 and VND 66,600/kg, respectively.

In Gia Lai, the price of coffee in Chu Prong today is at VND 66,200/kg; while at Pleiku and La Grai, the price is holding at VND 66,100/kg.

The price of coffee today in Kon Tum is being purchased at VND 66,000/kg.

The domestic coffee price today has no new fluctuations. This week, the domestic coffee market increased sharply by VND 2,000/kg. This is also the 2nd week in a row that the market price increased sharply. Last week, the domestic coffee price increased to VND 3,000/kg.

In the session near the end of the week, the domestic coffee price had a strong increase and approached the threshold of VND 67,000/kg, in the context that the London and New York exchange re-established highs.

Thus, the price of coffee on 06/18/2023 in the domestic market traded around the threshold of VND 66,000 - 66,700/kg.
