Regarding production unit codes, according to statistics until mid-2023, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Bac Giang province has directed functional units to review, appraise, check, and evaluate the reality and grant 64 new production unit codes. In 2022 solely, the new planting area was 47.5 hectares; products obtained from ginseng roots will be about 3.7 tons, selling price from VND 1.5-2 million per kg; 5.5 tons of ginseng flowers, selling price from VND 0.8-1 million per kg of the dry product; Economic efficiency reaches about VND 6.05 billion ha per production cycle. Tan Yen district has dried Nui Dan ginseng products of the Nui Dan ginseng production and consumption cooperative and Nui Dan ginseng flower buds of the Nui Dan Lien Chung ginseng production and consumption cooperative, achieving 4-star OCOP.
With the achieved results, in 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside and coordinate with relevant departments and branches to advise the Provincial People's Committee to organize the implementation of the OCOP program in the area.
Advise the Provincial People's Committee to direct districts, towns, and cities to develop and deploy the OCOP program in their localities and regularly organize inspections and evaluations of its implementation in cities and districts.
