The introduction of the Loc Troi 28 rice variety at the end of 2014 was the successful outcome of Loc Troi's ambition to push Vietnamese exporting rice to the level of US$1,000 per ton, similar to India's signature Basmati. As a result of the efforts of Loc Troi Institute's experts, Loc Troi 28 is the first rice variety regarded as the world's finest rice with cultivation characteristics adapted to the land of the Long Xuyen Quadrangle and along the South of the Hau River.
Loc Troi 28 has received several domestic and international awards, including the First Prize at the 5th Continental Rice Traders Conference in 2018, outshining the biggest rivals from China, Thailand, and India, and the First Prize of the Vietnamese Brand Delicious Rice Contest at the 5th Vietnam Rice Festival held in Vinh Long in January 2022.
Hat Ngoc Troi Thien Vuong was introduced to the market in March 2020 at the supermarket and store chains under Coopmart, Big C, and Bach Hoa Xanh … at the price of VND 185,000 per 5-kilogram-package.
Hat Ngoc Troi Thien Vuong is a premium rice pack of the Hat Ngoc Troi brand made from rice types that are cultivated, exploited, or have the right to be exploited commercially by Loc Troi Group.
These rice varieties are cultivated accordingly to the scientific process to ensure the quality of the rice seed to assure consumers when using Loc Troi rice in every meal.
Ten years ago, Loc Troi Group chose Thoai Son, An Giang province, to develop the very first Thien Vuowng rice variety to provide flavorful and fragrant rice for both domestic and international consumers.
Thoai Son, the region of forest, mountain, and horizontal delta, is an ideal location for growing three rice crops annually. It is also known as an alluvial terrain with the highest rice yield and area in the province of An Giang. Therefore, for many years, the agricultural sector of the province of An Giang has been delighted to invite numerous large corporations to Thoai Son to engage in the agricultural sector, particularly the rice business.

Thanks to strict adherence to Europe's Sustainable Rice Platform (SRP) Standard, Loc Troi 28 cultivation has produced bountiful crops not only in the province of An Giang but also in the Mekong Delta, thereby contributing to the production of abundant raw materials for the market.
As a traditional farmer, Le Van Phuoc (Dinh Thanh commune, Thoai Son district) was initially hesitant to adopt the SRP-standard sustainable rice growing approach. Mr. Phuoc becomes accustomed to the new farming, though, with the assistance of the district's agriculture officials. On his 3ha rice field, he has been provided with the Loc Troi 28 rice variety, fertilizers, and pesticides, and he has received training on the "1 must, 5 decreases" method and all technical support for land plowing, fertilization, pest avoidance, and keeping a field diary. Mr. Phuoc employs a procedure of sparse sowing with a density of 110kg/ha, successfully utilizing pesticides by the "4 right" principle (right drug, right dose and concentration, right time, and right method).
Several rice crops have demonstrated that SRP rice farming is less expensive due to balanced fertilization, which also results in a decreased occurrence of rice blast disease and bacterial leaf blight disease compared to the control field.
Thanks to good varieties and thorough care of healthy rice plants at the beginning of the crop, a decrease in insect pressure, and balanced fertilization, the rice plant is less susceptible to collapse and the profit per hectare is nearly VND 4 million higher than in the control field.

Mr. Tring Cong Minh, Director of An Binh Agricultural Cooperation (Thoai Son - An Giang), stated that the unit is the first of its kind to be established in the An Giang province due to the capitalization and personnel of Loc Troi Group. The rice production implemented by Loc Troi in accordance with SRP criteria in order to cultivate Loc Troi 18 and Loc Troi 28 rice varieties. When farmers plant rice in accordance with SRP criteria, Loc Troi will pay them an additional VND 1,000/kg compared to the initial fixed underwritten prices. Therefore, farmers are assured of production because this method generates greater earnings than conventional methods.
Mr. To Nguyen Minh, in charge of the brand in the Marketing Department of Loc Troi Group, explained that the name of the Hat Ngoc Troi Thien Vuong rice was derived from a fable in which the rice seeds are described as the treasured pearls of heaven.

The Loc Troi Group conducts research and manufactures rice using a closed method. Utilize approved and purebred rice cultivars while sowing. During the cultivation phase, cultivation practices, heavy metal content, chemical residues in soil and water, etc. are rigorously regulated. When harvesting and purchasing, manufacturers monitor contaminants, maturity, moisture content, and variety-specific classification. For processing and preservation, it is controlled in accordance with the European HACCP system, more than 600 food safety criteria are evaluated, and no polishing chemicals, bleaching agents, or aromas are utilized.
Loc Troi Group is currently a member of SRP, the world's first benchmark for sustainable rice production established by the United Nations Environment Program and the International Rice Research Institute.
Hat Ngoc Troi Thien Vuong rice, which meets British Retail Consortium (BRC) and other international export standards, is recognized as a 5-star OCOP (One Commune One Product) at the national level in 2020, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's announcement No. 4221/BNN-VPDP dated July 6, 2021. It is the result of Loc Troi's devotion. This is a favorable condition for Loc Troi Group to advertise and bring rice goods manufactured by the company closer to domestic consumers.
