After six years of operation, ViMariel has successfully drawn numerous enterprises from sectors such as food and consumer goods production, construction materials, electrical and electronics, etc.
Spanning an impressive 256 hectares, the ViMariel Industrial Zone aspires to become the largest of its kind in Cuba. It is the first franchise project granted for time-limited exploitation with 100% foreign capital investment in the country.
Leveraging its expertise as a major industrial park infrastructure and real estate investor in Vietnam, Viglacera Corporation has developed the ViMariel Industrial Zone with modern and synchronized facilities. The project aims to attract investors interested in establishing production and business facilities.
After six years of operation, ViMariel has successfully drawn numerous enterprises from sectors such as food and consumer goods production, construction materials, electrical and electronics manufacturing, mechanical engineering, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment. This development has not only helped meet the domestic demands of the Cuban market but also significantly reduced the country's reliance on imports, saving foreign currency. Moreover, the zone has created substantial employment opportunities for Cuban workers, supporting the sustainability of the country's industrial sectors.
On September 26, during a state visit to Cuba, Party General Secretary and State President To Lam, alongside the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba Central Committee and President of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, visited the Mariel Special Development Zone—Cuba’s first free-trade export processing zone.

On this occasion, the two leaders witnessed the announcement of investment permits granted to two Vietnamese enterprises: Thai Binh Corporation and ATG Fertilizer Company. They also visited ongoing projects within the ViMariel Industrial Zone and presented gifts to the Vietnamese workers constructing the facilities there.
ViMariel has emerged as a vital bridge, connecting investors and entrepreneurs with the Latin American, Caribbean, and South American markets. This is a strategic initiative by Viglacera Corporation, paving the way for multiple Vietnamese enterprises to invest in Cuba. It also plays a crucial role in strengthening the economic ties between Vietnam and Cuba, elevating the relationship to match their robust political partnership.
