Vietnam’s livestock sector faces rising production costs, disease risks, and increasing consumer demand for quality. In that context, CJ Feed&Care, the Feed & Livestock division of CJ Group (South Korea), officially kicked off the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) improvement campaign named “2025 Find Challenge Reach” starting April 2025. Moreover, increasing pressure from climate change and greenhouse gas emission reduction requirements also pose major challenges that force the livestock sector to innovate production techniques and processes. CJ Feed&Care’s campaign is expected to address these difficulties by optimizing feed use and improving production efficiency.
In Vietnam, CJ Vina Agri, a subsidiary of CJ Feed&Care, implements this campaign, targeting a 0.04-point reduction in FCR in the initial phase at affiliated farms across all three regions: North, Central, and South. This strategic step aims to enhance livestock efficiency, reduce production costs, and deliver high-quality pork reasonably priced to Vietnamese consumers. Reducing the FCR index helps farms save on input costs and lowers methane and other greenhouse gas emissions generated from farming, while improving meat quality with better preserved nutritional content.

With a closed-loop production foundation and technological strengths in animal feed, CJ Feed&Care is gradually expanding its value chain under the Feed - Farm - Food model, penetrating deeper into the food market (FM). This model helps control quality from raw materials to final products and facilitates the development of high-value-added products such as organic meat and internationally certified fresh meat, meeting the increasingly diverse demands of domestic and export markets.
In this strategy, the fresh meat brand MeatMaster plays a key role, representing a commitment to providing safe, high-quality, and reliable food for Vietnamese consumers. MeatMaster has gained trust from major retailers and consumers thanks to strict control processes from breeding selection, feed, care, and modern slaughtering. This contributes to strengthening the brand’s position in the domestic market and expanding export capacity to demanding markets such as South Korea, Japan, and the EU.
With MeatMaster, CJ aims for safe, quality fresh meat in Vietnam.
As a leading company in animal nutrition technology, CJ Vina Agri continuously improves feed formulas to enhance conversion efficiency and reduce farming costs. Applying enzyme solutions, probiotics, and advanced mixing technology, CJ’s feed products have helped many farms shorten breeding cycles, increase conversion rates, and improve economic efficiency. These advanced technologies also help reduce antibiotic dependence, improve animal immunity, and optimize nutrient absorption, reducing environmental waste. This sustainable approach aligns with global trends toward green and environmentally friendly farming.
Improving FCR is not only about optimizing nutrition but stems from a closed ecosystem where feed, techniques, and farm management are fully integrated. This is the foundation CJ uses to create a long-term competitive advantage for Vietnam’s livestock industry. This ecosystem includes specialized technical support services, farmer training, and the application of IoT and Big Data technology to monitor animal health and adjust feeding regimes according to each growth stage, helping improve farming efficiency and reduce disease risks.

CJ affirms that the added value from improving FCR will be distributed fairly and responsibly: workers in the chain benefit from cost efficiency. At the same time, consumers gain access to clean, safe meat at reasonable prices. This sharing is carried out through programs to improve working conditions for laborers, while ensuring product quality transparency so consumers can choose and trust. CJ also commits to a long-term partnership with affiliated farming communities, promoting local economic development and environmental protection.
The “2025 Find Challenge Reach” campaign aims to optimize production and is part of CJ Feed&Care’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy, aiming for the sustainable development of Vietnam’s livestock industry and communities. Integrating CSR into business activities has helped CJ build a responsible corporate image, creating deep trust among stakeholders and contributing to raising industry standards toward sustainable development, protecting consumer health, and preserving the environment.
Through the MeatMaster brand, CJ Feed&Care continues to reaffirm its commitment to providing safe, nutritious, and reliable food that meets international standards and the increasing demands of Vietnamese consumers. MeatMaster is also proof of a serious investment in the cold supply chain, ensuring meat freshness when reaching consumers and contributing to changing consumption habits toward higher quality and safer products.

Mr. Nam Ki Don, CEO of CJ Vina Agri, shared: “We mobilize our entire workforce to participate in the campaign with the highest determination. By providing quality, safe pork at reasonable prices, CJ Feed&Care commits to sharing benefits harmoniously among workers, consumers, and society.” He also emphasized that the campaign’s success depends on close cooperation among partners in the value chain, including farms, feed suppliers, technical teams, and state management agencies.
With the united efforts of affiliated farms, on-site technical teams, and strong research and development (R&D) resources, the “2025 Find Challenge Reach” campaign is expected to create a positive ripple effect across the industry, contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam’s livestock sector both domestically and internationally.
