Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach, Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper, highlighted the close and long-standing partnership between the two sides, spanning years of development and generations of rubber producers and journalists.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach also shared that throughout its formation and development, Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper has undergone several name changes. Similarly, the rubber industry has experienced a series of ups and downs, evolving into the country’s leading rubber group in its current position today.

Over the years, Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper has closely followed, encouraged, and accompanied multiple generations of rubber producers across the country. With the support of VRG, VAN journalists have had the opportunity to explore and report on production activities as well as the livelihoods of rubber workers in remote and rural areas. At the same time, they have portrayed compelling human stories about the lives of workers and staff in rubber units nationwide. Several VAN publications about Vietnam’s rubber industry have been submitted to journalism competitions and have received prestigious awards.

In particular, during the 2022-2024 period, the activities, commitments, and aspirations of both sides have been elevated to new heights. Over the past three years, VRG and VAN have collaborated to disseminate information on strategies and policies for sectoral development. VRG’s directives, production and business operations, and investment activities have been consistently featured across all VAN platforms.

“VRG is moving towards a green strategy based on three pillars, expanding into new business sectors with significant advantages, such as industrial clusters, electricity, and renewable energy. Meanwhile, with the merger of VAN and the Resources and Environment Newspaper, new developments and events will serve as milestones, anchors, and strategic directions for both sides to set objectives and cooperation missions for the future,” said Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thach. He reaffirmed that the newly formed Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper will continue to follow, encourage, and accompany VRG on its new path ahead.

Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Ngoc Thach expressed his gratitude to rubber industry workers across the country for their continuous support and collaboration, enabling Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper to fulfill its journalistic mission effectively.

He expressed confidence that the signing of this cooperation agreement would mark a new phase of partnership between the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG) and Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper, strengthening their meaningful collaboration. This cooperation is expected to enhance the operational efficiency of both parties while contributing to broader societal benefits in the future.

Le Thanh Hung, General Director of the Vietnam Rubber Group, emphasized that throughout its development, VRG has received significant support from the media, particularly from Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper (now Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper).

He highlighted the long-standing and deeply rooted partnership between VRG and Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, now Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper.

The VRG General Director expressed hopes that during the 2025–2029 cooperation period, both parties would continue to build on their strong traditions while elevating their partnership to new strategic heights.

“We will collaborate to distribute and promote Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper across VRG’s production and business units nationwide. This initiative will enable VRG to access specialized information promptly and officially, serving as a valuable resource for production activities while enriching the intellectual and cultural life of our employees,” he stated.

The signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement was not only a continuation of the strong partnership between the two entities but also a significant milestone, marking a new turning point in their collaboration. Both parties pledged to work closely to enhance media effectiveness, supporting the sustainable development of the rubber industry and other VRG-related sectors.

In this new phase of cooperation, Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper will continue to support VRG in producing journalistic and media content, including articles, reports, and videos. This effort aims to disseminate accurate and timely information to VRG’s production units nationwide. Through this partnership, journalism will play a crucial role in enhancing employees’ morale and driving the growth of the rubber industry.

The event also provided an opportunity for both organizations to reflect on the 96-year journey of Vietnam’s rubber industry and the 80-year history of Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper, now Vietnam Agriculture and Nature Newspaper. It reaffirmed the rubber sector’s vital role in the national economy and its contribution to improving the quality of life, particularly for workers in remote and rural areas.

Currently, VRG manages over 100 subsidiaries and 16 affiliated companies, operating across various industries, including rubber, timber, rubber-based industrial products, and high-tech agriculture. Recently, the group has expanded into renewable energy, aligning with its sustainable development strategy, environmental protection initiatives, and contributions to community development.

In 2025, VRG aims to achieve revenue of nearly 27.5 trillion VND, representing a 4.5% increase compared to 2024. At the same time, the group remains committed to improving the welfare of over 81,000 employees across the country, including those in remote and ethnic minority areas.
