Mr. Truong Minh Trung, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam Rubber Group (VRG), announced at the ceremony that three of VRG's member units have effectively met the EUDR requirements and have gained customer acceptance. Dong Nai Rubber Corporation, Dau Tieng Rubber One-Member Limited Liability Company, and Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber Joint Stock Company (Cambodia) are the three entities in question.

Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, the General Director of Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber, provided an update on the company's EUDR implementation process and declared his dedication to the production of EUDR-compliant products at the occasion.

Mr. Truong Minh Trung stated that VRG selected Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber to present at the event because Vietnamese rubber companies are able to implement the EUDR regulations more easily as a result of Vietnam's national sustainable forest management system. Nevertheless, VRG's rubber production operations in Cambodia and Laos are not yet equipped with such systems. Consequently, Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber's successful adherence to EUDR serves as evidence of VRG's preparedness to satisfy EUDR requirements in all of its member units in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Mr. Huynh Tan Sieu, the Head of VRG's Industrial Division, observed that, despite the fact that EUDR has not yet been implemented, numerous customers have already contacted VRG's member companies to purchase rubber latex that complies with EUDR regulations, thereby satisfying the customers' documentation needs. Consequently, Dong Nai Rubber Corporation recently sold 767 tons of EUDR-compliant rubber latex, while Dau Tieng Rubber sold over 40 tons, with an added value of USD 250 per ton. Furthermore, VRG's international subsidiaries are also in EUDR compliance and are in the process of finalizing contracts with clients.

During the ceremony, Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber signed a contract with Sailun Group (China) to supply EUDR-compliant rubber latex, and Dong Nai Rubber Corporation concluded a similar agreement with Dang Thai Gia Company.

The signing of the EUDR principle agreement between Sailun and Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber is a historic occasion, according to Mr. Tao Quoc Cuong, a representative of Sailun Group.

Mr. Cuong underscored that Sailun is dedicated to prioritizing the use of EUDR-compliant products from Chu Se Kampong Thom. This is not only a testament to the company's production management capabilities and product quality, but also a significant milestone in the development of a future together and the strengthening of the cooperative relationship. Sailun is also dedicated to offering active support to other VRG factories that are in the process of obtaining EUDR certification. The company is optimistic that a greater number of VRG factories will become EUDR-compliant suppliers to Sailun in the future.

Mr. Cuong asserts that VRG has been Sailun's comprehensive trading partner and comprehensive strategic associate for an extended period. Sailun is also one of the main customers of VRG and its associated factories.

Sailun has developed a comprehensive partnership with VRG factories, which has resulted in an increasingly intimate relationship with Chu Se Kampong Thom Rubber in Cambodia. Chu Se Kampong Thom has accomplished significant milestones, including becoming the largest individual supplier to Sailun overseas, the first Cambodian factory to supply Sailun's Cambodian facility, and the first VRG factory to receive EUDR certification from Sailun.

In October of this year, Sailun's expert team conducted an on-site inspection of Chu Se Kampong Thom to comply with the European Union's EUDR regulations. The company actively collaborated, providing complete documentation and addressing all of Sailun's concerns. Sailun has verified that the production and management of Chu Se Kampong Thom fully comply with EUDR standards through a series of exhaustive evaluations, thereby establishing a strong foundation for future collaboration.

Mr. Cuong confirmed, "Sailun is extremely grateful for Chu Se Kampong Thom's dedication to EUDR regulations. We believe their products adhere to the highest standards of the rubber industry, and their factory management capabilities are an exemplary model for VRG."

"The Group is announcing the EUDR adaptation achievements of three units at today's event, and it also wishes to reaffirm its commitment to leading the EUDR compliance efforts in the rubber latex and wood sectors. The objective is to achieve full EUDR compliance for companies certified under Sustainable Forest Management (VFCS/PEFC) by Q1 2025 and to achieve complete compliance for companies in Laos and Cambodia by the end of Q2 2025", stated Mr. Tran Minh Trung, Deputy General Director of VRG.
