During the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed Vietnam's continuous attention and admiration for Poland's recent socio-economic achievements. He emphasized the importance of developing traditional friendly relationship and multifaceted cooperation with Poland; and expressed Vietnam's gratitude for Poland's valuable support in its national defense and construction efforts.
The Prime Minister extended a special thanks to Poland for its assistance to the Vietnamese community in Poland following the fire at the commercial center in May.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh proposed that both countries continue to strengthen relations through exchanges at various levels, particularly through the assignment of high-level delegations; and to promote visits from Party channels, economic-trade-investment cooperation, and cultural, people-to-people exchanges.
The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam is committed to facilitating the import of Polish products such as machinery and sea vessels. He also suggested both parties to expedite the signing of the loan agreement for the project to build six offshore search and rescue vessels, which includes Polish governmental preferential credit support for Vietnam. He also called for Poland's assistance in training Vietnamese human resources in basic education and shipbuilding.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister requested Poland to continue supporting the Vietnamese community in Poland, thereby enabling them to integrate into the local community and contribute positively to Poland's socio-economic development, as well as the strong traditional friendly relationship between Vietnam and Poland.
In response, President of Poland Andrzej Duda highlighted his admiration for Vietnam's socio-economic achievements. He emphasized that Vietnam is currently Poland's most prominent partner in Southeast Asia, and expressed gratitude for the contributions of the Vietnamese community in Poland.
