According to Mr Nguyen Lam Thanh, a representative from TikTok Vietnam, in 2023, TikTok Shop collaborated with Agritrade (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) and the Rural Youth Union (Central Youth Union) to implement the "OCOP Market" program. As a result, it generated revenue of VND 100 billion through 800 LIVE sessions, showcasing and promoting numerous specialities and brands from local micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
Building on the success of the OCOP Market campaign, TikTok continues to collaborate to expand the scale, diversify, and digitize commerce for domestic goods on the e-commerce platform.
Specifically, TikTok signed a cooperation agreement with The People Newspaper and the National Assembly Television to implement the "Proud of Vietnamese Goods" initiative (#TuHaoHangViet).
In addition to a series of regular livestream sessions every Saturday, TikTok Shop will launch the "Vietnamese Goods" tab, gathering products labelled as "Vietnamese Goods" from local brands and sellers, making it easier for users to find reputable, unique domestic products across various categories.
Within the framework of this collaboration, content creators and partners of TikTok Shop will participate in livestream sessions promoting Vietnamese goods in different provinces.
Furthermore, they will provide direct guidance on how to livestream product introductions and sales for local businesses and sellers.
Additionally, they will organize a series of offline and online training sessions on trade promotion and digital transformation for sellers in provinces, cities, and economic regions nationwide.
"To sustainably accompany local sellers, TikTok Shop will deploy various activities to search, nurture, and provide long-term support for potential sellers on the platform", said Mr Nguyen Lam Thanh.
On the other hand, TikTok Shop also collaborates with the Vietnam National Assembly Television channel to launch the #HiGreen initiative to promote green, sustainable, and environmentally friendly products.
Products labelled with #HiGreen will be displayed in the #HiGreen tab on the Shop Tab, and special discount programs will be applied every Saturday.
Content creators specializing in short videos, Live streams, and TikTok Shop will have the opportunity to experience and visit production workshops to create promotional videos and directly participate in livestream sales.
In particular, to actively introduce new and diverse products to consumers, TikTok Shop will work closely with local authorities, actively search, support training, and register sellers on the platform to do business with environmentally friendly products.
According to Mr Nguyen Lam Thanh, this collaboration aims to open up opportunities for digital commerce, thereby increasing revenue for domestic products and sellers, and contributing positively to the development of the local and national economy. It also enhances choices and shopping experiences for consumers, promoting the spirit of Vietnamese using Vietnam products.
Alongside the two collaborations implementing the #TuHaoHangViet and #HiGreen programs, TikTok Shop will continue to introduce more meaningful initiatives to bridge the gap between authentic ethnic products and environmentally friendly products to reach more consumers. "I believe that, with the collective efforts of all parties involved, TikTok Shop, in particular, and the Vietnamese e-commerce industry, in general, will make significant and sustainable progress in the future", emphasized Mr Nguyen Lam Thanh.
