Planting 10,000 mangrove apple trees in Thai Binh

(VAN) Panasonic cooperated with the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment Communication to plant 10,000 mangrove apple trees in Thai Binh province.

On March 8, the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment Communication (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), in collaboration with Thai Thuy Wetland Nature Reserve (Thai Binh province) and Panasonic Vietnam Co., Ltd., held a tree planting ceremony "For a Green Vietnam.".

Responding to the "For a Green Vietnam" program

This year, Panasonic's annual tree planting program continues to coordinate with the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment Communication and 120 employees of Panasonic companies in Vietnam to plant 10,000 mangrove apple trees. This is the optimal species for Thai Thuy mangrove forests because of good salinity resistance, adapting to mud soil, strong roots helping to prevent erosion, creating a living environment for many species, and bringing high economic value to local people.

Speaking at the tree planting ceremony, Mr. Taka Fujino, representative of Panasonic companies in Vietnam, shared that Panasonic has long clearly defined the unit's responsibility to the community and the environment. The "For a Green Vietnam" program is not only a highlight in the activities but also a call for cooperation from the community, which is "Let's take action for a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful Vietnam." This is an extremely important and meaningful activity, not only showing Panasonic's commitment to environmental protection but also bringing positive effects to the local ecosystem and community.

According to Mr. Taka Fujino, Panasonic is committed to the long-term health of the people and the sustainable development of Vietnam through social responsibility activities in the fields of environment and education. Of which, the "Panasonic for a Green Vietnam" program has been implemented for more than 10 years in many provinces and cities nationwide. This year is the first time Panasonic decided to plant mangroves in the North because of the many benefits that mangrove forests can bring to Thai Binh province in particular and Vietnam in general.
