Following the success of the 'Forests For Good - For You, a Green Vietnam' project, first launched in 2023, P&G Vietnam will continue its strategic partnership with Central Retail Vietnam and Gaia Nature Conservation Center to implement an afforestation initiative.

This impactful project aims to contribute to increasing green spaces in Vietna, and raise consumer awareness regarding the importance of environmental protection.

During the first year of implementation, the project planted over 6,500 forest trees, enriching the ecosystems of key forests in Xuan Lien Nature Reserve, Ca Mau, and Dong Nai.

With the aim of expanding on the project's successful results, P&G Vietnam and Central Retail Vietnam are committed to increase the project scale and plant additional green trees. It is projected that at least 6,500 additional forest trees will be planted through the 'Forests For Good - For You, a Green Vietnam' project in 2024.

According to Le Thi Tuyet Mai, Communications Director at P&G Vietnam, the company will continue its partnership with Central Retail Vietnam to implement this impactful project for the second consecutive year, with a focus on a sustainable development strategy in Vietnam. Accordingly, P&G Vietnam expects to promote environmental protection and inspire consumers to protect the planet.

This year's project has been structured to facilitate consumer participation in donating green trees, with a focus on simplicity and accessibility.

Namely, from June 13 to June 26, 2024, for each purchase receipt worth 399,000 VND at GO!, Big C, and Top Market supermarkets, and with at least 100,000 VND spent on P&G products (including Ariel, Downy, Pantene, Head & Shoulders, Rejoice, Old Spice, Gillette, Safeguard, Olay, and Oral-B), consumers will contribute one green tree to the project.

Additionally, consumers will have the opportunity to earn a 50,000 VND discount voucher for each purchase receipt through AR activities at the supermarket.

Chalermchai Pornsiripiyakool, Head of International Corporate Affairs at Central Retail Group, emphasized that the 'Forests For Good - For You, a Green Vietnam' project is implemented with a shared commitment to positive change and environmental protection through afforestation activities. The project has received consumer support through the purchase of P&G products at GO!, Big C, and Tops Market supermarkets nationwide.

According to Do Thi Thanh Huyen, Founder and Director of Gaia Nature Conservation Center, the occurrence of natural disasters and unpredictable weather patterns in recent years indicates the increasing severity of climate change.

Consequently, urgent action is needed to plant and restore forests, create CO2 reservoirs, and establish natural green shields to combat climate change and mitigate disaster damages. Collective efforts from individuals and groups across society are required for this mission.

Gaia Nature Conservation Center acknowledges the significant contributions made by P&G and Central Retail Vietnam, as well as consumers nationwide. The cooperation and commitment of stakeholders will continue to play a crucial role in reforestation activities and the preservation of Vietnam's ecological balance.

Kha Ngan, an actress and Brand Ambassador for Pantene, has shown enthusiastic support for the 'Forests For Good' project; 2024 marks her second year participating in the program.
