In Harris Spice's October report, the company noted a price decrease following the peak harvest season in Indonesia and Brazil. At the same time, demand remains low, with weak demand from China.
In Vietnam, after a severe drought at the beginning of the year, the onset of rains has led to a good flowering period in many areas. Overall, weather conditions have been favourable across most cultivation regions, and if good weather persists, production is expected to increase. Scattered showers continue in producing localities.
In Brazil, peak harvesting is underway in both the northern and southeastern pepper-producing regions. However, changes in this year's rainfall patterns have negatively affected yields in both regions.
Thus, world pepper prices on November 15, 2024, saw a significant decline in Indonesia compared to the previous day.
