World pepper price on July 8

Pepper prices on July 8 in the world market continued to decrease in Indonesia but remained unchanged in other countries.

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia decreased by 0.49%; about $ 3,701/ton. The price of Muntok white pepper in this country also decreased by 0.49%; to $ 6,333/ton.

Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $ 4,900/ton; while the country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $ 7,300/ton.

For the Brazilian market, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 is kept at $ 3,050/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of 500 and 550 g/l black pepper is $ 3,500 and $ 3,600/ton, respectively. The export price of white pepper is $ 5,000/ton.

World pepper prices today continued to decline in Indonesia and remained stable in other markets. In recent days, the pepper market in Indonesia has continuously gone down.

Thus, pepper price on 07/8/2023 in the world market decreased slightly in Indonesia compared to yesterday.

Domestic pepper price on July 8

Pepper price on July 8 in the domestic market also increased by VND 500 compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak and Dak Nong today increased to VND 68,500/kg; 

Today's pepper price in Gia Lai increased slightly, trading at VND 67,500/kg;

Today's pepper price in Dong Nai bought up to VND 68,000/kg;

The latest pepper price today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau increased to VND 70,500/kg;

And Binh Phuoc pepper price on July 8 traded at VND 69,500/kg, a slight increase. 

Domestic pepper prices today simultaneously increased slightly and have surpassed the threshold of VND 70,000/kg.

Yesterday, the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association officially announced export data for June 2023 and the first 6 months of the year.

Accordingly, in June 2023, Vietnam exported 21,209 tons of pepper of all kinds, 18,545 tons of black pepper, and 2,664 tons of white pepper.

Total export turnover reached $ 77.1 million, black pepper reached $ 63.8 million, and white pepper reached $ 13.3 million. Compared to May, the export volume decreased by 26.3%, the turnover decreased by 14.5%. The average export price of black pepper in June reached $ 3,440/ton, and white pepper reached $ 4,975/ton, down $ 100 for black pepper and $ 48 for white pepper compared to the previous month. 

The US rose to become the largest export market of Vietnam's pepper in June, reaching 4,801 tons, but down 11.2% compared to May. Exports to China also plummeted 59.0% to 4,200 tons. Exports to Germany, Netherlands, UAE, France, Russia... decreased but increased in Korea, UK, India...

Thus, pepper price on 07/8/2023 in the domestic market is trading around VND 67,500 - 70,500/kg.
