World pepper price on May 26

Pepper prices on May 26 in the world market continued to decline slightly in Indonesia but remained flat in other countries.

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia decreased by 0.33%, to $3,593/ton. And the price of this country's Muntok white pepper decreased by 0.31%; at $6,112/ton.

Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $4,900/ton; while the country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $7,300/ton.

For the Brazilian market, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 is $2,950/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of 500 and 550 g/l black pepper is $3,500 and $3,600/ton, respectively. The export price of white pepper is $5,000/ton.

World pepper prices today are continuously decreasing in Indonesia and remain stable in other markets.

The world pepper market was under pressure from the USD continuously and reached the highest level in the past two months.

Thus, today's pepper price on 05/26/2023 in the world market decreased slightly in Indonesia compared to yesterday.

Domestic pepper price on May 26

Pepper price on May 26 in the domestic market simultaneously decreased slightly by VND 500/kg compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak and Dak Nong today decreased to VND 72,000/kg;

Pepper price today in Gia Lai traded at VND 70,500/kg;

Pepper price in Dong Nai is purchased at VND 70,500/kg;

The latest pepper price today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau decreased to VND 73,500/kg;

Binh Phuoc pepper price on May 26 is trading at VND 72,500/kg;

Domestic pepper price today has another 4th consecutive session of decline and is heading towards the mark of VND 70,000/kg. This decline came from the fact that the import and export warehouse capacity are reached, stopping purchases.

According to experts, the domestic pepper market may still decrease but it is difficult to fall below the price of VND 70,000/kg. Because the supply factor from now until the end of the year is forecasted to be still lower than the demand.

At this point, the relevant agencies will announce the parameters of the pepper crop just harvested. Thereby, the picture of crop output this year and next year is predicted more closely. This will be an important basis for determining pepper prices in the last months of the year.

Thus, today's pepper price on 05/26/2023 in the domestic market is trading around VND 70,500 - 73,500/kg.
