After the Covid pandemic, the number of visitors to Mu Cang Chai has increased. In 2022 alone, Mu Cang Chai district welcomed and served over 350,000 visitors, and the revenue from tourism has also reached VND 270 billion.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Lan, a tourist from Phu Tho, said that this place attracts her with its magnificent natural landscape of terraced fields, immense green of mountains and forests with the pristine values of nature and people. The peace and closeness of nature and people make her feel relaxed and comfortable. Surely, she will return here in the following tourist seasons.

According to local statistics, the average spending of tourists coming to Mu Cang Chai ranges from VND 300,000 - 1,500,000/person/day (For tourists traveling during the day: average VND 300,000/person/day, for domestic tourists staying on average VND 1,000,000/person/day and night, for international tourists staying VND 1,500,000/person/day and night).

If in 2016 the district's tourism revenue only reached over VND 60 billion, by 2020 it will increase to VND 100 billion, and in 2022 it will reach VND 270 billion. However, the level of revenue from tourism is not commensurate with the tourism potential of the district, because tourism products and services in the local are still poor, with few added services, tourism revenue is mainly from food and accommodation.
