Live pig price on Nov 8: a sharp fall of VND 6,000 per kilogram

Live pig price on Nov 8 in the North fell sharply by VND 4,000 - VND 6000 per kilogram. While that in the Central region and Highlands experienced opposite fluctuations.

Live pig price in the North

Today Nov 8, the North recorded a sharp fall in live pig price at many localities.

Tuyen Quang, Ha Nam and Thai Nguyen shared the same fall of VND 4,000 – VND 6,000 at the price of VND 66,000 – VND 67,000 per kilogram.

The purchase price at Hung Yen, Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc was VND 67,999 per kilogram, down by VND 3,000 compared to last week.

Some localities experienced a slight fall of VND 1,000 per kilogram such as Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen and Ninh Binh. Particularly, the price at Bac Giang and Nam Dinh remained at VND 68,000 per kilogram.

As such, live pig price on Nov 8 in the North ranged from VND 66,000 to VND 68,000 per kilogram.

Live pig price in the Central region

Today Nov 8, the Central region and Highlands observed opposite fluctuations of purchase price from VND 1,000 to VND 2,000 per kilogram against last week.

Particularly, the purchase price at Nghe An, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan slightly decreased by VND 2,000 per kilogram to VND 67,000 – VND 72,000. The same situation was for Dak Lak with a slight fall of VND 2,000 per kilogram.

In contrary, the price at Binh Thuan, Quang Ngai, Thua Thien Hue and Ha Tinh inched up slightly to VND 73,000 – VND 74,000 per kilogram.

As such, live pig price on Nov 8 in the Central region ranged from VND 67,000 to VND 74,000 per kilogram.

Live pig price today in the South

In Southern provinces, live pig price today was slightly adjusted from VND 1,000 to VND 3,000 per kilogram this week.                                                                        

Ho Chi Minh city, An Giang, Vinh Long, Kien Giang and Ben Tre shared the same increase of VND 1,000 per kilogram at the price of VND 74,000 to VND 76,000 per kilogram.

Meanwhile, the purchase price at Binh Phuong, Dong Nai, Vung Tau, Long An, Can Tho and Tien Giang was down by VND 1,000 – 2,000 per kilogram against the recorded level by the end of last week. Particularly, Binh Duong and Bac Lien observed a sharper fall of VND 3,000 per kilogram to VND 72,000 – 74,000 per kilogram.

As such, live pig price on Nov 8 in the South ranged from VND 72,000 to VND 78,000 per kilogram.
