Digitalization of agricultural products

Thanh Hoa Provincial Youth Union has coordinated with the Vietnam Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture (Agritrade) and TikTok Vietnam to organize the "OCOP Thanh Hoa Market Session" program.

Thanh Hoa has 442 OCOP products with three stars or more, including one 5-star product and three potential 5-star products. The Provincial People's Committee determined that promoting digital transformation, applying information technology, and building intelligent new rural areas associated with the OCOP Program are critical tasks in 2021 - 2025 when implementing the National Target Program to participate in building new rural areas.

In the series of events, digital content creators visited and experienced tourist destinations and OCOP product production facilities in Thanh Hoa province. Along with that, local OCOP entities are participating in training to enhance skills in selling OCOP products via digital media.

Here, experts provided much information and knowledge about online business and building a business brand on digital platforms through TikTok For Business tools.

In parallel with the training program, the OCOP Market Livestream activity was organized to promote OCOP Thanh Hoa agricultural specialties to the public. The 4-hour livestream "OCOP Market - Thanh Hoa" attracted more than 375,000 livestream viewers, bringing in 205 million VND in revenue and 1,000 OCOP orders.

Through promotional support from prominent content creators on the TikTok platform, such as Hung Rom and Co Dong Nat, the Hashtag #OCOPThanhHoa also brought in more than 6 million views after just one day of launch on the platform TikTok.

Mrs. Nguyen Le Ngoc Linh, Ban Tho Cooperative, one of the participants in the program, shared: "For someone who appeared on TikTok for the first time and received such a good response, I feel delighted. "Once the production line has met the needs of both quantity and quality, household businesses will quickly increase competitiveness, expand markets, grow revenue, and improve the lives of rural people, "Mr. Lam expressed.
