Vu Manh Hung said that DHN is implementing phase 1 of the DHN Tay Ninh high-tech application livestock area project, including large items such as building chicken breeding farms, Pig breeding farms, and broiler chicken farms for export. Along with the livestock farm cluster, DHN also started building a food processing factory to complete a closed livestock chain from input to output.
Phase 1 project has a more than 39.5 hectares scale total investment capital of VND 200 billion. This is one of the component projects of the chain of high-tech agricultural complexes with a total investment capital of up to VND 2,500 billion, which has been committed to investment by Hung Nhon Group and De Heus in Tay Ninh.
As the most significant scale critical livestock project ever invested in Tay Ninh, the local government also expressed interest in the progress of implementing the above project. Specifically, to create favorable conditions for DHN to continue implementing the project's next phase, the Office of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee issued Official Dispatch No. 7756/TB-VP announcing the conclusion of the Vice Chairman. At the meeting, Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Chien commented on the proposal to expand DHN's high-tech agricultural project.
Accordingly, regarding policy, the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and investment with Hung Nhon and De Heus on surveying and researching investment in agricultural projects applying high technology in Tay Ninh province.
Previously, during a working visit to the Netherlands at the end of 2022, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a meeting and worked with the senior CEO of De Heus Group and witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) about the cooperation and strategic partnership between De Heus and Hung Nhon.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh took a photo with leaders De Hues and Hung Nhon during his visit to the Netherlands.
The Prime Minister's presence at these two special events is the most evident proof of the importance of the strategy to develop Vietnam's livestock industry in the future with the help of De Heus (Netherlands), which is the largest investor of the European Union (EU) in Vietnam to date. Over the past 50 years, the relationship between Vietnam and the Netherlands has developed enormously in many fields, especially agriculture.
Immediately after Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Netherlands, the two corporations realized the livestock industry development strategy by jointly organizing the "Forum connecting businesses to invest and develop a high-tech agriculture ecosystem in Tay Ninh province in 2023" on June 2, in Tay Ninh City.
At the Forum, De Heus and Hung Nhon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province on surveying and researching investment in high-tech agricultural projects in the early stages (2023-2030) in Tay Ninh with a total investment capital of about VND 2,500 billion.
On July 3, De Heus and Hung Nhon held the Groundbreaking Ceremony of the DHN Tay Ninh High-tech Livestock Area project. Speaking at the Groundbreaking Ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Chairman of Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee, assessed that DHN joint venture started the project within just one month from the date of signing the MoU, showing that Hung Nhon and De Heus are businesses reputable, capable, and genuinely dedicated to investing in Tay Ninh.
Representatives of the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, De Hues, and Hung Nhon signed a Memorandum of Understanding on investing in high-tech agricultural projects from 2023 to 2030.
Also, according to Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Tay Ninh agriculture industry is focusing on restructuring crops and livestock towards increasing added value and sustainable development so that Tay Ninh farmers can live and work from agriculture. With the available land fund, the province is forming 20 large-scale, high-tech agricultural production areas towards value chain linkage, including 13 crop growing areas, 5 livestock raising areas, 2 cultivation and livestock mixed areas, with a total area of more than 11,000 hectares.
Gabor Fluit, Director of De Heus Asia and Chairman of the European Chamber of Commerce (EuroCham) in Vietnam - said that Tay Ninh has a strategic location in the southern key economic region, easily connected to the Cambodian market. This role will increase even more in the upcoming time when the Ho Chi Minh City - Moc Bai expressway is completed and put into use.
The DHN High-tech Husbandry Park project in Tay Ninh is considered a key project, typical in attracting investment and supporting localities to quickly resolve investment procedures, contributing to the implementation of the proposed goals of Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress on the proposal to build a high-tech agricultural ecosystem for the Southeast borderlands.
