GMP WHO Mebipha Plant and the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology's Institute of Environmental Technology have inked a strategic cooperation agreement with Mebi Group in Tay Ninh.
The signing seeks to establish a strategic cooperation partnership between the two organizations, advancing the research objectives of technology transfer, production adoption, and bringing livestock products to the Vietnamese market. Mebi Group will adopt and transport all included items to the High-tech Livestock Farming Area of Mebi Farm Joint Stock Company (affiliate of Mebi Group).
The cooperation agreement between Mebi Group and the Institute of Environmental Technology includes the sharing and exchange of scientific research results, production, and quality management expertise to increase the efficacy of both parties' operations.
Adopting environmental remediation technology into Mebi Farm's production process to mitigate negative impacts on the environment and adjacent communities; enhancing mutual support in trade promotion, access to new markets, and expanding cooperation with domestic and international partners.
The Institute of Environmental Technology will be a potential partner with Mebi Group in bringing environmental technologies to actual agricultural situations, as it is an experienced agency in working with domestic and international businesses.
During the signing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Tran Dien, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Environmental Technology, stated that the cooperation between the institute and a business is a significant step in the transmission of new appliance technologies and research into community-serving production.
In the future, Mebi Farm will have a High-tech Livestock Farming Area in accordance with the standards of green, closed circular agriculture, so that the focus of cooperation will be on researching herbals to combine with fodder for layer farming and environmental remediation. Concurrently, the enterprise will commission the institute to conduct research in support of its human-services orientation.
Mr. Huynh Cong Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mebi Group, stated, "In addition to methodically investing in layer farms utilizing Japanese technology, MebiFarm combines applications and consulting from the Institute of Environmental Technology to improve the ability to control the surrounding environment, treat odors and organic waste.
In the near future, Mebi Group will apply research on organic fertilizers and microbiology to livestock husbandry and construct areas for the cultivation of herbal raw materials to produce clean, secure products for the community.
The Mebi Farm High-tech Livestock Farming Area is situated on a total area of 70 hectares in Tan Thang commune, Ham Tan district, Binh Thuan. This is the greatest layer farming project in the province of Binh Thuan, a layer farm constructed in accordance with Japanese technology and standards with the intention of providing Vietnamese consumers with poultry egg products of superior quality, safety, and nutrition.
It is anticipated that the farm will raise 1.2 million layers and 600,000 pullets by 2024 when it will begin selling its products.
At Mebi Farm High-tech Livestock Area, the poultry cage system is designed to operate fully automatically, synchronizing with other functional systems to form a closed livestock and production chain. The egg processing, sifting, and packaging area is outfitted with a processing machine system that is integrated with the commercial layer cluster.
In addition, behind each laying hen house, there is an automatic chicken manure collection system, which converts fresh chicken manure into finished organic chicken manure in accordance with Japanese COMPO technology standards and procedures. This is done in order to address environmental concerns related to the project thoroughly.
According to Mr. Huynh Cong Tuan, Mebi Farm High-tech Livestock Park is a circular agriculture initiative that meets the international criteria for pure, green agriculture. When completed, the project will be the most cutting-edge example of a high-tech application in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. Mebi Farm will effectively address environmental issues while generating significant revenue from organic fertilizer.
