Latest domestic and global coffee prices on December 15, 2024
Globally, both the London and New York exchanges remained unchanged on December 15.
On the London exchange, Robusta coffee for January 2025 delivery held steady at $ 5,209/ton, while the March 2025 contract remained at $ 5,184/ton.
Meanwhile, on the New York exchange, Arabica coffee for March 2025 delivery stayed at 319.50 cents/lb, and the May 2025 contract was stable at 317.05 cents/lb.
Latest Arabica and Robusta prices on December 15, 2024
Global coffee prices remained steady today. However, a review of the week shows mixed movements on both the London and New York exchanges. Robusta prices for the January 2025 delivery contract increased by $ 56/ton, while Arabica prices for March delivery dropped by 10.75 cents/lb.
According to the International Coffee Organization (ICO), global coffee exports reached over 11.1 million bags in October, the first month of the 2024–2025 crop year, representing a 15.1% increase compared to nearly 9.7 million bags during the same period last year.
Green coffee accounted for 89.4% of total global exports, with a volume of 9.9 million bags, marking a 15.8% rise year-on-year. Notably, this was the 12th consecutive month of positive growth for global green coffee exports.
Similarly, Brazilian Arabica exports rose by 12.1% in October, reaching 4.2 million bags. For the first time, exports in this category exceeded 4 million bags, driven primarily by Brazil, the world's largest producer and exporter of Arabica, along with Ethiopia. Brazil exported 3.6 million bags in October, an 8.1% increase compared to the same period last year.
Thus, global coffee prices as of December 15, 2024, remain unchanged compared to yesterday.
In the domestic market, coffee prices today remained stable compared to the previous day.
In Lam Dong Province, the districts of Di Linh, Bao Loc, and Lam Ha maintained a trading level of VND 123,500/kg.
In Dak Lak Province, Cu M'gar was buying at VND 125,000/kg, while Ea H'leo and Buon Ho traded at VND 124,900/kg.
In Dak Nong Province, traders in Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap recorded prices of VND 125,200/kg and VND 125,100/kg, respectively.
In Gia Lai Province, Chu Prong traded at VND 125,000/kg, while Pleiku and La Grai remained at VND 124,900/kg.
Lastly, in Kon Tum Province, the purchase price was steady at VND 125,000/kg.
Thus, domestic coffee prices on December 15, 2024, are trading around VND 123,500–125,200/kg.
