Vinamilk realizes dual goals

Upon working with the People's Committee of Binh Duong province, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assessed that with an important position in the southern key economic region, Binh Duong is a key area that has had the Government interested in the Covid-19 epidemic prevention, socio-economic development, ensuring people's health.

In the fourth outbreak to date, Binh Duong has had 221 Covid-19 cases, including 9 in industrial zones. The main infection source is from outbreaks in Ho Chi Minh City. Facing the complicated situation of the epidemic, Binh Duong switched to anti-epidemic state with the highest combat solutions; tighten management for localities applying Directive 15, Directive 16 and blockade areas such as Thuan An city, Tan Uyen town and some wards of Thu Dau Mot city. Until now, more than 85% of businesses have done an assessment on the disease safety level.

The Prime Minister highly appreciated the results of the Covid-19 epidemic prevention and the socio-economic development of Binh Duong province. The province can still control the epidemic, achieve economic growth of over 7%, collect a budget of more than 60%, the citizen's lives have not been affected much, and social security policies are well maintained, especially there are no poor households.

However, according to the Prime Minister, Binh Duong does not have a specific plan to prevent the Covid-19 epidemic in industrial zones. Therefore, the head of the Government suggested that the province focus on developing scenarios and plans for this issue. Binh Duong must prepare a scenario at a higher level, it is good if not used, and the province will not be struggling when usage is required. Unwell epidemic control will affect the entire implementation of political tasks from now until the end of the year, especially socio-economic development.

“The global supply chain must not be broken. It will be very difficult to restore if broken. The goal for the upcoming time is to effectively fight against the epidemic, prevent, repel, and prevent outbreaks in the industrial zones; develop socio-economic, ensure social security, guarantee that people's lives next year are better than the last; strive to exceed the targets set by the Provincial Party Congress, maintain political stability… ", the Prime Minister emphasized.

The Prime Minister acknowledged Vinamilk as a unit that "both produces and combats", contributing to the country's dual goals. The Prime Minister pointed out that implementing dual goals is a difficult task but there is no other way; only by fighting against the epidemic to promote production and trade and making production and trade possible can we have more resources to better fight the epidemic.

Regarding Vinamilk's proposal related to the issuance of preferential bonds, the Prime Minister noted that it must strictly follow the principles, policies, guidelines of the Party and the State's regulations, ensuring that SCIC’s share proportion holds the veto power, in accordance with reality, to avoid negativities, encouraging the improvement of employees’ living standards.

Having received Vinamilk's recommendations, the Prime Minister assigned the Government Office to urge immediate settlement, not to let the enterprise lose their opportunity.

The Prime Minister asked Vinamilk to continue promoting achievements and results, not to be subjective, satisfy, constantly innovate and be creative, improve brand value, continue developing the most favorable products for consumers, effectively adapt to the epidemic situation, make it "next year is better than last year" in all aspects, contribute more to the country.
