Vegetable powder processing provides access to untapped market

(VAN) Thang's business manufactures vegetable powder from locally available veggies. The product is well-received and has many development prospects.

Vegetable powder processing is a money-spinner

Bui Minh Thanh, 34, felt unafraid to invest in a business specializing in instant vegetable powder processing since he lives in a horizontal vegetable region in Pho Yen commune, Thai Nguyen province. With ten major items made from Thai Nguyen green tea buds and other vegetables like as pennywort, perilla, and chameleon, he can sell between one and two tons of vegetable powder per month, making over VND 100 million in profit.

His wife, Tran Thi Duyen, 32, a pharmacist, spearheaded the effort. She spent countless hours researching the benefits of a variety of vegetables that are not only beneficial to health but also therapeutic.

The most notable kinds are perilla and chameleon, which are widely cultivated throughout the area. As a consequence of the first study demonstrating the positive benefits of these veggies on human health and beauty, she pushed her husband to transition the business to natural powder manufacturing and processing.

The couple used all their resources and borrowed more money to develop Nguyen Viet Production and Trading Development Co., which includes a synchronized system of drying, sterilizing, and grinding based on Japanese technology.

As a result of this technique, Nguyen Viet natural powder product obtains a high degree of fineness, maintains its distinctive taste without sacrificing nutrients, and can be easily combined and consumed as a beverage or added to porridge, soup, or meal powder.

Excellent potential

Chameleon plant, also known as fish mint, is one of Thang's best-selling items since it is simple to cultivate, grows fast, is pest-free, and can be harvested all year. Since ancient times, people have cultivated the vegetable in their gardens as an instant herb for eating and medicine to cure a variety of common or chronic illnesses, including boils, hemorrhoids, constipation, itching sores, and childhood measles.

After subtracting costs, the monthly income exceeds VND200 million, leaving a profit of about VND100 million. Thang intends to expand manufacturing capacity, processing from 3 to 4 tons of powder of various types, and has considered the link between farmers specialized in vegetable cultivation and advanced technology.

Apart from purchasing chameleon plants from local residents, Thang also planted three rods of the veggie to maintain control over manufacturing materials. After preliminary processing, 1 kilogram of pure powder will be produced from every 30 kg of fresh tops. Due to its many applications and ease of consumption, the chameleon powder is always "sold out."

Along with chameleon powder, Nguyen Viet celery powder is very popular among customers, most of whom are female, due to its attractiveness and weight-loss properties.

Celery, a well-known spice, is not only aromatic but also nutrient-dense. Celery has been shown to be effective in preventing cardiovascular diseases, assisting users in achieving a healthy body, significantly limiting cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, intestinal diseases, anti-aging skin, painful urination, anti-arthritis, beneficial to the liver, and eyes, and effective weight loss.

Thang and his wife, on the other hand, are particularly passionate and excited about tea powder goods made with fresh tea buds from the province's tea areas. Mr. Thang has spent a great deal of time, effort, and money over the last seven years tinkering with and testing the manufacturing of face masks and matcha tea powders. Currently, Nguyen Viet tea powder and Nguyen Viet matcha tea are gaining recognition in the market, with goods being distributed via agents in a number of countries worldwide.
