In recent years, Quang Binh has developed strongly in terms of tourist accommodation facilities. Homestay and farm stay community tourism models are increasingly developing. Greenfield Ecostay Phong Nha, Son Doong Bungalow, Phong Nha Farmstay, Phong Nha Lake House, The Duck Stop, Sheep Home Phong Nha, and Community Tourism Village... have attracted many tourists, especially international visitors.
As a consequence, this brings common benefits to the local community while enhancing the promotion of the traditional cultural values of the province to tourists.
According to Mr. Dang Dong Ha, Deputy Director of Quang Binh Department of Tourism, participating in building and developing community tourism, residents in rural areas have cooperated with businesses. This is to serve tourists, they can do farming work, take care of their families, develop the economy and preserve the traditional cultural identity of their homeland and roots.

“A typical example is Tan Hoa Community Tourism Village developed by Chua Me Dat Company (Oxalis). The village was a coordinated effort with the Department of Tourism of Quang Binh Province and local authorities to build and develop since November 2022. This is a model that both maintains the ecological environment and creates jobs for people participating in tourism services", Mr Ha added.
People in the Tan Hoa area, Minh Hoa district live by farming, fishing, hunting and collecting honey. In addition to these occupations, up to now, there are still popular natural gathering occupations for daily food such as snail catching and eggplant picking.
Thanks to participating in community tourism, on average each year, this land welcomes tens of thousands of tourists to visit and explore adventurous tourist routes, creating stable jobs for 120 employees, including 20 full-time employees and 100 seasonal employees.

In particular, the province will build 2-3 pilot models on rural tourism development associated with building new rural areas in the direction of green, responsible and sustainable tourism.
Quang Binh also focuses all resources on building a rural tourism village that will be named in the list of the world's best tourist villages announced by the World Tourism Organization.
At the same time, it will promote the development of rural tourism associated with the digital transformation process. Of which 50% of recognized rural tourist attractions are digitized and connected on tourism promotion and advertisement pages; focusing on training and coaching on management skills and tourist service skills.
Build and actively participate in the rural tourism partner network to serve investment connections, and connect supply and demand information of rural tourism in the province with the whole country and the world.
Rural tourism development is one of the solutions and key tasks of the National Target Program on building a new countryside in the 2021-2025 period. On the basis of changing thinking from agricultural production to rural economic development, contributing to supporting localities to implement effectively and sustainably the development of new rural areas (Decision No. 922/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on the approval of the rural tourism development program in new rural construction in the 2021-2025 period).
