In the welcoming speech, Mr. Tran Thanh Nam, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, emphasized that AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025, organized by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), plays a crucial role in fostering innovation and creativity in the mechanization sector, with a focus on developing a green and sustainable agricultural industry.
The Agriculture and Environment Newspaper is the leading media sponsor for AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025. Since 2022, the Vietnam Agriculture Newspaper (now known as the Vietnam Agriculture and Nature News) has been the exclusive media partner of DLG in Vietnam.
He stated that the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is concentrating its resources to effectively implement the project for the sustainable development of 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission specialized rice farming, closely linked to green growth in the Mekong Delta region by 2030. This initiative aims to sustainably develop the rice sector by organizing production in conjunction with comprehensive mechanization across the entire value chain of the rice industry.
"AGRITECHNICA, being held in Vietnam for the first time, will open significant opportunities for experts, manufacturers, farmers and investors to connect, exchange knowledge and promote sustainable agricultural initiatives. These initiatives are crucial to adapt to the continuously evolving challenges in agricultural production and business, which are being driven by the impacts of climate change and the fluctuations of the global market", the Deputy Minister firmly stated.
Deputy Minister Tran Thanh Nam highly appreciated the initiative of organizing AGRITECHNICA ASIA every two years in Vietnam and expressed hope for a positive and continuous dialogue on innovation and creativity in agriculture, opening up opportunities for the development of talent and intellect.
During the opening ceremony, Mr. Nam expressed the potential for multi-sectoral cooperation between Vietnam and Germany in ensuring food safety (FSS) across the entire production chain, enhancing training capabilities linked to practical application, as well as introducing advancements in mechanization and digital transformation.
