AGRITECHNICA ASIA Vietnam 2025 announces 16 thematic events

AGRITECHNICA ASIA, organized by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), is a premier agricultural trade fair. The 2025 edition in Vietnam will focus on key agricultural sectors such as rice, sugarcane, corn, food crops, coffee, and fruits. The event is expected to host over 200 exhibitors from 25 countries and attract thousands of experts from across the agricultural value chain.

1. Green Innovation Centres in the Agriculture and Food Sector in Vietnam

This seminar, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), through the Department of Cooperatives and Rural Development (DCRD) and the National Agricultural Extension Centre (NAEC), aims to strengthen the role of agricultural cooperatives and extension services in driving sustainable farming practices in Vietnam. The session will bring together cooperatives, farmer associations, and industry stakeholders to discuss practical solutions, policy support, and innovative approaches to improving farm productivity, sustainability, and market access.

This session, hosted by GIZ Vietnam, will explore innovative mechanization and value chain improvements for rice production in Vietnam. Experts will present sustainable solutions, precision farming techniques, and post-harvest innovations aimed at increasing productivity and reducing environmental impact. Case studies from the Green Innovation Centre project will highlight how smallholder farmers and cooperatives can benefit from mechanization, digital tools, and value chain linkages.

2. Promoting agroecology and organic farming in Vietnam and the ASEAN region – Trends, Opportunities and Solutions

3. Seminar on Viet Green, High Quality, and Low-Emission Rice Value Chain

This session, co-hosted by IRRI, VIETRISA and Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, will introduce innovations supporting the Viet Green, High Quality, and Low Emission Rice and discuss opportunities for cooperation and participation in Vietnam’s One Million Hectare High-Quality, Low-Emission Rice Program. This will be an opportunity to explore public-private partnerships for technology development and transfer and finance for low-emission branding and certification under the 1mHa Program.

13. PFiMAKS: Stronger Farms, Smarter Machines

The FiMAKS showcase will feature the latest agricultural machinery technologies that help farms operate more efficiently, more productively and more sustainably. 15. Green and Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization: Trends and Innovations from Vietnam and Beyond

Organized by Nong Lam University (NLU) in collaboration with the German Agricultural Society (DLG), this seminar will explore the current status, challenges, and advancements in agricultural mechanization in Vietnam and beyond. The session will feature insights from Vietnamese and German experts, covering topics such as smart agriculture, mechanization needs for perennial crops, and case studies of advanced agricultural technologies from Germany. 

Discussions will also address technology adoption for export-oriented agricultural production. The seminar aims to foster collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers to drive sustainable mechanization practices in Vietnam. Live interpretation will be provided for seamless engagement between Vietnamese and international participants.
