The Ministries of Health, Ministries of Agriculture and Environment, and Ministries of Industry and Trade, in collaboration with other relevant ministries and agencies, have established five inter-sectoral inspection teams to carry out inspections in 10 provinces and cities.
The Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on food safety has recently issued detailed guidelines on the implementation of the five inter-sectoral inspection teams during the 2025 Action Month for Food Safety.
According to the plan, Inspection Team No. 1 will be led by the Vietnam Food Administration under the Ministry of Health. The team will work in coordination with the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Bureau under the Ministry of Public Security, one representative unit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, one unit from the Ministry of Science and Technology, and a testing institute affiliated with the Ministry of Health. This team will carry out inspections in two key localities: Ho Chi Minh City and Binh Phuoc Province.

Team No. 2 will be led by the inspectorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Bureau (Ministry of Public Security), one unit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, one unit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and a testing unit under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. The team will conduct inspections in two provinces: Quang Binh and Quang Tri.
Team No. 3 will be headed by the National Authority for Agro-Forestry-Fishery Quality, Processing and Market Development under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment. The team will coordinate with one unit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Bureau (Ministry of Public Security), one unit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, and a testing unit under the same ministry. Inspections will be conducted in two localities: Hanoi and Bac Giang.
Team No. 4 will be led by a unit under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with a unit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Bureau (Ministry of Public Security), another unit from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and a testing unit under the same ministry. This team will conduct inspections in two provinces: Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan.
Team No. 5 will be led by a unit under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, in coordination with a unit from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, a unit from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Environmental Crime Prevention Police Bureau (Ministry of Public Security), and a testing unit under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This team will carry out inspections in two provinces: Dien Bien and Lai Chau.
The Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee on food safety has instructed the inspection teams to maintain a focused and targeted approach, concentrating on persistent issues in food safety management, as well as violations related to food production, business operations, and advertising.
