Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Dao, Chairman of Song Kon Forestry Co., Ltd., announced that the company has recently held a ceremony to receive the VSCF/PEFC sustainable forest management certification. This certification was assessed and granted by Bureau Veritas Certification (Vietnam). The certification covers 1,284.7 ha of forest and forest land managed and utilized by the company.

Currently, Song Kon Forestry Co., Ltd. manages 10,476 hectares of forest, with rich forest accounting for 50% of the area. In 2020, the company developed a sustainable forest management plan and began managing its forests according to FSC and VFCS sustainable forest management standards. In 2023, the company registered for evaluation to obtain the VFCS/PEFC certification. Additionally, the company has applied techniques to convert acacia plantations from producing small timber to large timber, thereby enhancing the productivity and quality of its plantations.
The VFCS/PEFC certification will significantly increase the economic value of the company's forest products in both domestic and international markets. It also contributes to improving reforestation quality, sustainable forest management, and wood processing.
