Fresh sticky rice IR 4625 is priced at VND 7,600 – 7,800/kg; fresh 3-month sticky rice is currently priced at VND 8,100/kg.

Fresh IR 50404 paddy is trading around VND 5,600 – 5,800/kg (down VND 200); fresh Dai Thom 8 paddy is steady at VND 6,900 – 7,050/kg.

OM 5451 paddy is trading at VND 6,200 – 6,400/kg (down VND 200); fresh OM 18 paddy is priced at VND 6,900 – 7,050/kg.

OM 380 paddy remains around VND 5,900 – 6,000/kg; Japanese paddy is steady at VND 7,800 – 8,000/kg.

Dried Nang Nhen paddy is traded at VND 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa 9 paddy is priced at VND 6,550 – 6,750/kg.

As for rice prices today (May 7), there is little fluctuation; supply remains limited, and buying/selling activity is still slow.

In An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), supply trickles in, trading remains slow, and rice prices are holding steady.

Raw IR 504 rice is priced at VND 8,200 – 8,250/kg; finished IR 504 rice is priced at VND 9,500 – 9,700/kg.

Raw 5451 rice ranges from VND 9,600 – 9,750/kg; raw OM 18 rice remains in the range of VND 10,100 – 10,300/kg.

Raw OM 380 rice is priced at VND 7,700 – 7,850/kg; finished OM 380 rice is at VND 8,800 – 9,000/kg. Meanwhile, raw CL 555 rice is currently priced at VND 8,600 – 8,800/kg.

Sticky rice core is priced at VND 21,000 – 22,000/kg; regular rice is around VND 13,000 – 15,000/kg; Nang Nhen rice is priced at VND 28,000/kg.

Thai long-grain fragrant rice is around VND 20,000 – 22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice is at VND 16,000 – 18,000/kg; Huong Lai rice remains at VND 22,000/kg.

Common white rice is purchased at VND 16,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is at VND 22,000/kg; regular Soc rice is at VND 17,000/kg; and Thai Soc rice is at VND 21,000/kg.

Taiwanese fragrant rice is currently priced at VND 21,000/kg; while Japanese rice is steady at VND 22,000/kg.

Broken rice grade 2 is priced at VND 7,150 – 7,250/kg, while rice bran is priced between VND 8,000 – 9,000/kg.

On the export market, Vietnamese rice prices remain steady. Specifically, 100% broken standard rice is priced at $323/ton; 5% broken rice is purchased at $ 395/ton; and 25% broken rice is at $ 368/ton.

Thus, rice prices on May 7, 2025, are slightly down for paddy compared to yesterday.
