The miniature Ngoc Linh ginseng forest is about 200m2 wide with nearly 400 ginseng plants aged 2-17 years old, deployed by Vingin Joint Stock Company (Kon Tum).

Mr. Nguyen An, Communications Director of Vingin Joint Stock Company, said that this is an opportunity for Ngoc Linh ginseng - Vietnam's national treasure - to be widely introduced to the people of Ho Chi Minh City, as well as domestic and foreign tourists. Right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, you can explore part of the majestic and wild beauty of the old forest, understand more about Vietnam's rare ginseng plant as well as the process of protecting and developing this precious medicinal species in the Ngoc Linh mountains.

According to Mr. Nguyen An, the unit has invested seriously and methodically, recreating the Ngoc Linh ginseng forest in miniature like a primeval forest (Ngoc Linh forest - Kon Tum) within half a month. In particular, it is necessary to ensure that the forest space has vegetation, trees, rivers and streams and vibrant Ngoc Linh ginseng plants at a temperature of 12 degrees Celsius, to ensure that the ginseng plants are most suitable for the soil conditions here like at Ngoc Linh mountains.

"This is an international festival, welcoming many business units around the world to attend. Vietnam is very rich in medicinal resources and is fortunate to have Ngoc Linh ginseng containing 52 saponies, a much higher concentration than with other types of ginseng...

Through this miniature forest, we also want to send the message of joining hands to protect the forest and the environment, from which there will be a good space for human health," Mr. Nguyen An, Director Communications Director of Vingin Joint Stock Company said.

Mr. Nguyen An said that in recent times, together with local departments and agencies, businesses have encouraged, guided and donated seedlings to people, thereby replicating the Ngoc Linh ginseng garden on Ngoc Linh mountain, contributing part in improving the lives of people, especially ethnic minorities.

Mr. Vo Trung Manh, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Tu Mo Rong district (Kon Tum), said that the entire district has 2,300 hectares of Ngoc Linh ginseng, of which 100 hectares are grown by farmers. Currently, the price of fresh Ngoc Linh ginseng locally ranges from VND 80-300 million/kg, depending on age and morphology.

According to Chairman of Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee, Mr. Vo Trung Manh, currently the situation of buying and selling fake Ngoc Linh ginseng is increasing. Many consumers lost billions of dollars when buying fake Ngoc Linh ginseng. Therefore, through this Festival, consumers as well as tourists have the opportunity to approach businesses and people who directly grow Ngoc Linh ginseng to receive advice on how to distinguish real from fake. Currently, many businesses have placed traceability stamps on each Ngoc Linh ginseng.

"To ensure Ngoc Linh ginseng, we needs a DNA test, and the fee is VND 1.5-2 million/sample. This fee is not too large compared to the value of Ngoc Linh ginseng", Chairman of Tu Mo Rong District People's Committee Vo Trung Manh determined.
