According to Mr. Kien, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company has decided to increase the factory's crushing capacity to 20,000–25,000 tons/day in the coming time to ensure the purchase of all sugarcane in the Dong Gia Lai raw material area. No later than April 30 every year, the factory will end the crushing crop to ensure that root-regenerated sugarcane grows well and farmers have time to take care of sugarcane to maintain stable productivity and quality.

An Khe Sugar Factory also applies information technology to field management to improve the efficiency of operating raw material areas. At the same time, issue sugarcane breeding policy mechanisms and raw sugarcane purchasing policies for each variety to encourage producers to convert according to the appropriate sugarcane variety structure orientation. The factory also optimizes production management, minimizing costs in each processing step to lower sugar product prices and improve competitiveness in the market.

Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company determines that strengthening the health of the soil will contribute to increasing sugarcane productivity. According to Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuoc, Deputy Director of An Khe Sugar Factory, thanks to strengthening the health of the soil, sugarcane productivity in the Dong Gia Lai raw material area has increased sharply in recent times and currently reaches an average of 77 tons/ha.

Previously, An Khe Sugar Factory coordinated with Japan Vietnam Fertilizer Company to research soil nutrition and propose appropriate fertilizer use. After a period of research, at the end of 2020, Japan Vietnam Fertilizer Company handed over the map of the current soil nutrition status to Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company. Based on this map, An Khe Sugar Factory has developed a suitable and scientific cultivation and fertilization process for each type of soil, helping sugarcane growers significantly reduce fertilizer costs, increase sugarcane productivity and quality, and improve production efficiency.

"An Khe Sugar Factory was handed over 15 maps by Japan Vietnam Fertilizer Company, including 3 maps on soil sampling and classification and current land use status and 12 maps showing the current status of soil nutrition in districts and towns, with an assessment area of over 29,463 ha," said Mr. Nguyen Hoang Phuoc.

According to Mr. Phuoc, the map of the current soil nutrition status shows which areas of land lack which nutrients so that farmers can supplement those nutrients during the farming process and use an appropriate dosage of fertilizer, neither too much nor too little, and only fully meeting the needs of the plants. This solution has helped farmers save on fertilizer costs for sugarcane, avoid waste, and increase efficiency. This is very beneficial, especially in the current context of rising fertilizer prices.

Previously, realizing that sugarcane productivity in the raw material area only reached an average of 50–60 tons/ha, too low compared to the potential, Quang Ngai Sugar Joint Stock Company directed An Khe Sugar Factory to compulsorily implement synchronous mechanization in sugarcane production to improve productivity. Since 2012, An Khe Sugar Factory has mechanized sugarcane production from the planting and tending stages to the harvesting stage in Dong Gia Lai districts, including Kbang, Dakpo, Kongchro, and An Khe town.

Mr. Le Hoang Phuoc, Deputy Director of An Khe Sugar Factory, recalled: In the 2011–2012 crop year, because it was so new, farmers had not responded to mechanization, so the Dong Gia Lai sugarcane raw material area only had more than 2,118 ha of mechanization applied by farmers, and only the stages of soil tillage, growing, tending, and fertilizing have been mechanized.

After applying mechanization in the above stages, sugarcane productivity increased significantly. By the 2013–2014 crop year, the area of sugarcane invested in mechanization had increased by more than 5,359 ha. In particular, sugarcane growers realized the advantages of planting with machines, so they boldly changed traditional farming practices, and the area planted with machines increased gradually each year.

According to Mr. Tran Dinh Son (48 years old), who is producing nearly 200 ha of sugarcane in Tu Thuy village, Tu An commune (An Khe town, Gia Lai), previously, when the new planting crop came, sugarcane seeds had to be cut into pieces. After the cow plowed, the field owner had to go and plant each tree and cover it. Even when carrying sugarcane seeds to the fields, the owner had to spread them out to facilitate planting. "Nowadays, sugarcane seeds are brought to the place and dumped in a pile without spreading out like before, then loaded onto a plough. On the plough, only a few people are needed to hold the sugarcane seed and put it in the machine for self-plantation. Manual growing is not very efficient, and the cost is higher than mechanization. Growing sugarcane is now healthy. I just need to have land and find workers to cut and load sugarcane onto the truck when the harvest crop comes; the rest is all done by the factory's mechanical team," Mr. Tran Dinh Son shared.

Previously, sugarcane production in Dak Hlo commune, a remote locality in Kbang district (Gia Lai), was mostly implemented by manual methods. However, after a number of local sugarcane-growing households invested in the mechanization of soil tillage, sugarcane growers in Dak Hlo found that soil tillage became easier, costs were reduced, and productivity increased significantly, so they gradually followed. As of now, 100% of the sugarcane farming area in Dak Hlo has been mechanized, from the stage of soil tillage to the stages of planting, fertilizing, and harvesting.
