On March 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited the Vinabeef Tam Dao Beef Breeding and Processing Complex, one of the key projects in Vinh Phuc.
The “Vinabeef Tam Dao Beef Breeding and Processing Complex” Project consists of two main sub-areas: a beef cattle breeding and fattening farm with a capacity of 10,000 heads and a chilled beef slaughter and processing plant with a capacity of 30,000 heads/year. The total investment for the construction of the farm and factory cluster in Tam Dao is VND 1,670 billion.
The construction started on March 8, 2023 on a total area of approximately 75.6 ha in Trung My commune (Binh Xuyen district) and Minh Quang commune (Tam Dao district). Up to now, the livestock farm subdivision has been basically built. The slaughterhouse and processing plant has been completed and is in the trial operation phase. It is expected that the “Vinabeef Tam Dao Beef Breeding and Processing Complex” Project will be inaugurated and put into operation in April 2025.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested Sojitz Corporation to soon complete the infrastructure around the factory area, ensuring the “light - green - clean - beautiful” factors; build a closed chain according to international standards, strive to process and export 10,000 tons of beef per year; promote linkages, build raw material areas, promote circular economy, sustainable production and consumption to meet green policies.
The Prime Minister also demanded Sojitz Corporation to study and expand investment in Japanese technology specifically beef farming and processing models to other localities. Vinh Phuc province would provide support to the business in implementing the next investment steps.
