In order to initiate the investment in organic agriculture, Vinamit Organic held open meetings between the board of directors and staff. “The determination of the leadership team plus the companionship of all employees of Vinamit Organic is like an ‘organic unity,” said General Director of Vinamit Nguyen Lam Vien.

After the meetings, the investment capital was disbursed quickly to facilitate the work. The once arid and rocky land is now bursting with richness thanks to the efforts of Vinamit’s technicians and workers. Organic fertilizer made from qualified cow manure has been added to the soil to a degree that would amaze other ordinary farmers. Each 150-ha farm is spread with a cow manure layer of 15 cm thick, not to mention the biomass circulation process of alluvial trees.

In addition to financial investment to build facilities, Vinamit Organic also “rolls out the red carpet” to invite experts with extensive experience in organic agriculture. The leading experts in the field have put a lot of effort into researching and developing the current organic model of Vinamit Organic. “We have very good remuneration policies for the experts. This is a very effective investment,” said Nguyen Lam Vien.

According to General Director Vien, the important work of Vinamit Organic farm is carried out by experts along with a team of technicians up to hundreds of people. In addition to researching applications and executing matters on Vinamit Organic’s farm, experts also participate in training the personnel system at the organic agricultural farms. This helps Vinamit Organic be sure to think about sustainable development in the future. The proximity of young people full of enthusiasm will be a great help to the development of the company in the future.

Vinamit Organic is aiming towards sustainable high-tech organic agriculture for daily life. The company is continuing to invest in developing new technologies that guarantee high-tech by utilizing artificial intelligence and meet organic standard requirements.

Achieved results

Up to now all of Vinamit Organic's farms have applied organic farming models based on scientific foundations that have been drawn from experience in previous farms. "We have really created an organic community at Vinamit Organic. That's why it is very convenient to widespread the organic agriculture mindset. Customers now have very high trust in Vinamit Organic’s agro-products,” said Nguyen Lam Vien.

In addition to good organic farming practices, Vinamit Organic creates a wide range of organic products by agro-product deep processing. Vinamit Organic's deep-processed agro-products have been very well received in the domestic and international markets. “We hope that in the future many Vietnamese brands will do this. If that becomes a reality, Vietnam would have an ecosystem of brands that touch the hearts of consumers.”

Another thing to note is that Vinamit Organic's farms not only meet USDA and EU standards but also meet China Organic standards. China Organic standard is not only difficult in terms of technical requirements but also in terms of barriers, and Vinamit Organic is one of only two Vietnamese units to achieve this certification. Achieving China Organic certification shows that all the works that have been done at Vinamit’s organic farm are substantive.

Future direction

It is a fact that sometimes “organic agriculture” is no longer mentioned at Vinamit anymore, the reason being organic farming has become a routine business. The formation of organic agricultural habits has also become a corporate culture of the company.

With such achievements, many people will question how Vinamit Organic will develop in the future. Answering this question, Vien said, “We at Vinamit Organic still determine that the organic path is a long journey in which people walking on that path must always constantly improve to perfect more and more.” Vinamit Organic's farms are being oriented by the leadership to become high-tech organic agricultural farms with sustainable development for daily life.

Following the world’s general trend, Vinamit Organic's farms and factories will reduce emissions to the maximum in order to protect the environment in a sustainable way, aiming towards a zero-emission Vinamit Organic. This will contribute to the branding of Vinamit Organic in particular and the Vietnamese brand community in general in the eyes of world consumers. Apart from the above orientations, on its development path, Vinamit Organic will pay more attention to meeting the requirements of domestic and world markets.
