Pepper prices on October 15 globally

Globally, pepper prices on October 15 are showing good growth in Indonesia.

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia increased by 0.18%, reaching $ 6,744/ton. Meanwhile, the price of Muntok white pepper from the same country surged by 2.5%, to $ 9,233/ton.

The price of Kuching ASTA black pepper from Malaysia is $ 8,700/ton, while ASTA white pepper from this country is priced at $ 11,200/ton.

In the Brazilian market, the ASTA 570 black pepper is traded at $ 6,750/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of 500 g/l black pepper is trading at $ 6,500/ton, while the 550 g/l variety is priced at $ 6,800 /ton. The export price of white pepper is currently at $ 9,850/ton.

Global pepper prices today are mostly steady, with only Indonesia seeing an increase. In particular, the price of white pepper from this country surged by $ 200/ton.

According to data from China's Customs Authority, the country imported 890 tons of pepper in August 2024, valued at $ 5.8 million. This represents a decrease of 54.7% in volume and 36.8% in value compared to the previous month but an increase of 23.7% in volume and 80.9% in value compared to the same period last year.

The two main suppliers of pepper to China in the first eight months of the year remain Indonesia and Vietnam.

Thus, global pepper prices on 10/15/2024, remain steady compared to yesterday.

Domestically, pepper prices on October 15 have slightly decreased in some regions compared to yesterday.

Dak Lak is still purchasing pepper at VND 144,000/kg.

In Gia Lai, prices remain unchanged, trading at VND 143,000/kg.

In Dong Nai, traders are buying pepper at VND 143,000/kg.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau, prices have dropped by VND 500 to VND 143,500/kg.

Similarly, traders in Binh Phuoc are trading pepper down to VND 143,500/kg.

Domestic pepper prices today have only slightly decreased by VND 500 in Ba Ria Vung Tau and Binh Phuoc. Other key regions remain stable.

Thus, domestic pepper prices on 10/15/2024, are trading around VND 143,000 - 144,000/kg.
