Mr. Tran Quang Giau, Director of the Plant Protection and Crop Production Department of Kien Giang Province, shared that after nearly two years of implementing the "Organic Agriculture Development Project for Kien Giang Province in the 2022-2025 period, with a vision toward 2030", the province has carried out a wide range of supportive activities and successfully coordinated the different components of the project. In this regard, the work of propaganda, training to raise awareness, and developing human resources for organic agricultural production has been a priority for local authorities.

As part of this, the training content has been integrated into the career programs of various units and cooperation programs. Hundreds of classes and training sessions have been organized, with nearly 26.000 participants. Specifically, 28 awareness-raising training sessions on organic agriculture were held for provincial officials and officials from districts and cities, with 1.848 attendees. Additionally, 10 study trips were organized to visit organic farming models, with 280 participants. Furthermore, 620 organic agriculture training sessions were conducted for farmers, cooperatives, and businesses, with 21.080 participants. Another 66 training sessions were held with over 2.900 farmers attending, focusing on organic farming models and producing organic fertilizers through composting agricultural waste and by-products.
The effective organization of communication, dissemination, guidance, and implementation of policies, laws, and organic agriculture standards has played a crucial role in building consumer trust in the use of organic products. In addition, raising awareness among businesses, producers and managers about strictly adhering to production processes, monitoring and certification is essential to promote the development of organic agriculture.
