Moc Chau is officially recognized as National Tourist Area

(VAN) The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just signed a Decision recognizing Moc Chau Tourist Area, Son La province as a National Tourist Area.

According to this decision, Moc Chau National Tourist Area has the scale and boundaries as prescribed in Clause 1, Article 1 of Decision No. 2050/QD-TTg dated November 12, 2014 of the Prime Minister approving the Master Plan for the development of Moc Chau National Tourist Area, Son La province by 2020, with a vision to 2030.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism assigned the Department of Son La province to report to the Provincial People's Committee to preside and coordinate with the Vietnam National Tourism Administration and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize the announcement of the Decision, to promote the image and investment, and to attract tourists...

In 2022, Moc Chau was honored as "Asia's Leading Natural Tourism Destination 2022" and "Vietnam's Leading Natural Tourism Destination 2022" at the 2022 World Travel Awards - Region: Asia & Oceania, organized by World Travel Group.

Moc Chau is a locality with ideal climatic conditions for resort tourism, health care, ecology, and agriculture. Along with that is the magnificent and poetic natural landscape and a system of unique cultural resources, a system of cultural relics and heroic history.

Being recognized as a National Tourist Area will create an important driving force for Son La province in general, and Moc Chau and Van Ho districts in particular to continue their efforts to develop tourism here, affirming its position on the world tourism map as a national tourist area.
