On November 24, at Song Cau Industrial Cluster, Khanh Vinh district (Khanh Hoa), Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company solemnly held a ceremony to export the first official batch of pure bird's nests to the Chinese market. Attending the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, departments, and branches.
Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company was formerly known as the Bird's Nest Premium Beverage Factory under Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Company. This was the first factory in the bird's nest industry to carry out industrial production in the field of processing bird's nest drink products branded Sanest Khanh Hoa.
On September 9, 2016, the factory changed its form of operation to Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company, specializing in producing and trading genuine bird's nest and bird's nest drink products with the traditional brand Sanest and building and developing a new brand Sanvinest.
With the goal of diversifying product lines to meet market needs, up to now the company has more than 30 product lines of all kinds, notably genuine Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest, Khanh Hoa Sanest Bird's Nest Drink, and Sanvinest cans and jars with diverse types and designs suitable for many customer segments.
Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van, Deputy General Director of Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Company and COB of Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company, said that the Protocol on exporting bird's nests to China is a major turning point in the company's development process and a great opportunity for the Khanh Hoa Sanest and Sanvinest Bird's Nest brands to reach the world's leading potential market of billions of people.
To prepare well for official export, the company has built a chain of swiftlet houses according to standards and high quality, with more than 300 swiftlet houses, of which 142 meet export standards and have an output of about 30 tons/year. In addition, the company implemented a product linkage chain and built a process to trace the origin of bird's nests to improve the quality.
Along with that, in recent times, the company has actively participated in international fairs and conferences to promote trade, investment, and economic cooperation in many Chinese provinces, such as Yunnan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Sichuan, Nanning, etc., to promote and introduce products, as well as find more partners and sign contracts to prepare export orders.
“Thanks to doing well in preparation, we received an official diplomatic note from the General Administration of Customs of China, allowing the company to officially export two product lines that the company has registered to this market, including Pure Bird's Nest and Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Drink.
Successfully exporting products to China brings a great opportunity for the company to access and expand export markets, bring revenue to contribute to the state budget, and bring Vietnamese bird’s nests to quickly access the world's leading large market with knowledge of bird's nests, as well as the largest bird's nest consumption," Ms. Trinh Thi Hong Van shared.
After 20 years of construction and development, with continuous efforts and value affirmation, Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company's products are present in 63 provinces and cities in the country. At the same time, the company’s Bird's Nest product lines have been exported to Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, America, Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Laos, Cambodia, and ASEAN countries.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that China is a demanding market with a population of over 1.4 billion people and is a very large market for the bird's nest industry because every year China has to import a large amount of bird's nests from South Asian countries.
“In order to bring products to the world market, we must comply with the standards and regulations of the import market. Therefore, in the coming time, in addition to export businesses, we must provide technical training to farmers to ensure traceability, food safety, and disease safety to meet extremely high market criteria.
At the same time, we must connect large export businesses, cooperatives, and swiftlet farmers into a closed ecosystem, from swiftlet farming to processing and export. Only then can we both increase quantity and meet quality for markets," Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien emphasized.
On November 24, Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Beverage Joint Stock Company also held a 20th anniversary of construction and development, inaugurating the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Raw Material Processing Factory at Song Cau Industrial Cluster. The factory has an investment of over VND 220 billion, an area of 5 hectares, and is divided into 2 phases: Phase 1 (2022–2023) builds the Sanvinest Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Raw Material Processing Factory with an investment of VND 70 billion; Phase 2 (2023–2025) builds the Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Premium Beverage Factory and synchronizes other items with an investment of over VND 150 billion.
