Khanh Hoa applies seven essential fields for 'Green action - For a green future'

On July 19, in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa People's Committee, in collaboration with Vingroup Corporation, held the launching ceremony of the program "Green Action - For a Green Future," with the participation of mass organizations and the public residents with the Fund "For a Green Future".

This program will change the appearance and living environment and upgrade the "green" index in Khanh Hoa province towards becoming a "green destination" on the world tourism map.

Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Hai Ninh said that the goal of this action program, Khanh Hoa Province strives to be one of the leading localities in the country in environmental protection and implementation of a net zero emission level by 2045.

According to Nguyen Hai Ninh, to reach the finish line early in realizing the above goal, the province is launching "Green Action - For a Green Future" for each citizen and business, applying 7 essential daily areas. The day includes green food and drink, green traffic, green accommodation, green space, green play, green air, and green people.

In particular, the Clean Green Food and Drink segment must comply with green standards and synchronously use clean and fresh/green food at all food and beverage businesses and accommodations. The public areas in Nha Trang City will also be installed with clean water faucets for visitors to reduce the rate of using bottled water leading to the discharge of plastic bottles into the environment.

In the field of Green Transport, the province will strengthen green bus routes and install public bicycles and electric charging stations throughout the city. To set an example, government agencies will pioneer the use of green cars, encouraging people to use green vehicles such as green buses, green taxis, etc.

Activities of planting trees, creating urban shade, cleaning up indoor and outdoor garbage, beach garbage, and industrial waste periodically, creating outdoor play spaces, reducing emissions, reducing electricity use, etc., will all be applied to develop Green Space, Green Play and Green Air all over the province.

Immediately after the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province launched the program, in the immediate future, agencies, people, tourists, and volunteers deployed troops to clean up the sea, the coastal public areas and landscape areas in Nha Trang City, Cam Ranh City, and localities.

In the long term, Tran Ngoc Thanh, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province, said he would coordinate with the Fund "For a Green Future" to develop a specific program for green actions to become the thoughts and ideas of each citizen.

On the side of the Fund "For a Green Future", Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice President and General Director of Vingroup, said besides the specific actions that the fund accompanies with the province, all officers and employees of the company. Vingroup and its member companies in the province enthusiastically responded to this program.

"We are committed to seriously applying and implementing greening in all 7 areas of the program 'Green Action – For a Green Future' not only today but will maintain it regularly and continuously in the future, Nguyen Viet Quang expressed and added that Vinpearl currently has a Green Tour to explore nature, plant trees and cook from the chef's garden, and travel services to explore the wild world... Vinmec became the first hospital in Khanh Hoa to guarantee green accommodation services.

"Also, at the launching ceremony, agencies, mass organizations, businesses, and the people of Khanh Hoa province cleaned up trash at public beaches along Tran Phu Street. Right after that, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and Vingroup's Fund 'For a Green Future' will continue to carry out activities such as cleaning up trash in Binh Ba River, planting trees to green Chin Khuc Mountain...
