The Precision Engineering and Manufacturing Exhibition (MTA Vietnam 2024) officially opens in Ho Chi Minh City on July 2nd, featuring over 300 exhibitors from 15 countries and territories including India, Poland, Taiwan (China), Germany, South Korea, the United States, Hong Kong (China), Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, China, Thailand, Turkey, Italy, and Vietnam.
The exhibited product categories are diverse, focusing on machinery for cutting and metal shaping, sheet metal, casting and molds, welding technology, machining tools, cutting tools, automation technology, measurement, inspection, surface treatment, heat treatment, raw materials, and various supporting equipment and services.
Mr. Nguyen Quan, former Minister of Science & Technology and Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association, emphasized that MTA Vietnam 2024 is one of the largest trade events in precision engineering and manufacturing in the region.
"Throughout 20 years of supporting Vietnamese enterprises, MTA Vietnam 2024 has brought about new technological advancements in processing and manufacturing. It also supports Vietnamese businesses in digital transformation, establishing smart manufacturing systems and smart factories with the most advanced technologies," stated the Chairman of the Vietnam Automation Association.

According to Mr. Ben Wong, Managing Director of Informa Markets Vietnam, over the past two decades, MTA Vietnam has evolved from a modest trade event into one of the largest and most significant international exhibitions in the fields of mechanical engineering and manufacturing in the region. This growth has brought new and advanced technical advancements to the Vietnamese business community, complemented by various seminars and training programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the current and future workforce.
"In the coming years, we are committed to sustaining innovation in the manufacturing sector," affirmed Mr. Ben Wong.

According to Mr. Ha Minh Hiep, Deputy Director General in charge of the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality (Ministry of Science and Technology), within the framework of MTA Vietnam 2024, together with the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Center 2 (SMEDEC 2), affiliated with the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality, they are organizing the Robot competition - "MTA Challenges". This event sees extensive participation from students of universities in the Southern region, providing opportunities for students to showcase their creativity, teamwork, and programming skills, and contribute to developing high-quality human resources, nurturing future generations of automation engineers.
Throughout the four-day exhibition, suppliers from around the world will have the opportunity to meet business clients, enabling manufacturers to introduce new products and technologies. This event serves as a prime opportunity for Vietnamese enterprises to seek, learn, and update their manufacturing lines with the most optimal technologies and operational solutions, thereby enhancing efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness in precision engineering and manufacturing.
MTA Vietnam 2024, scheduled from July 2 to July 5, is expected to attract over 16,000 attendees. The majority of visitors will include business owners, board members, purchasing specialists, operations personnel, technical engineers, and senior executives with decision-making authority within their enterprises.
