The Saemaul Education Showroom and Saemaul Undong Virtual Reality Exhibition Center showcased the origins and development of the Saemaul new village movement in South Korea, the movement's effectiveness and global expansion, the establishment, and support of the Saemaul Globalization Fund (SGF); and, most importantly, the adoption of the Saemaul spirit and accomplishments of the New Rural Program, the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program.

The Inauguration Ceremony of the Saemaul Education Showroom and Saemaul Undong Virtual Reality Exhibition Center marks a turning point in the center's and the State's significant missions in the fields of education, research, and community service, all of which contribute to Vietnam's rural development progress.

Rural Development Center - Saemaul Undong was created in July 2016 with the mission of researching and spreading the Saemaul movement's experience in Korea for application to Vietnam's construction and rural development, particularly the National Target Program on the new rural building.
The Center has recently staged colorful events, arranged training courses, and launched a series of online training programs for members in Saemaul pilot villages and rural farmers around the nation. In general. Complete and update Saemaul Education and Gallery, as well as Saemaul Undong Virtual Reality Exhibition Center, to propagate the Saemaul spirit across rural Vietnam.

During the occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of VNU-HCM shared that between 2021 and 2025, there is a goal program to develop a new countryside aligned with the National University's purpose as well as the country's mission.
In the current phase, the first virtual reality technology center has been established to propagate the model in the context of the Covid-19 outbreak, which is an innovative approach. It exemplifies the pioneering spirit of introducing experiences and practical teachings to not just students, but also rural communities in Vietnam. The Center is a unique paradigm, a collaboration of Vietnam and Korea that combines social sciences and humanities with rural development. Between 2021 and 2025, the Center will contribute more to the national goal program for new rural development, as well as to the creation of a more prosperous and attractive Vietnam.
According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Thi Phuong Lan, Headmaster of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Director of the Saemaul Undong Center for Rural Development, this event aims to introduce Saemaul spiritual values in rural development as well as the Program's accomplishments. to a significant number of students and members of the social community, the new rural program and the One Commune One Product (OCOP) initiative.
