Ha Tinh: Great expectation for two investment projects of TH Group

Breakthroughs

Responding to the Ha Tinh province's calling for investments in social-economic development, in early 2021, TH Group conducted a field investigation  to making plans for developing tourism in around Ngan Truoi Lake, Vu Quang National Park and planting herbals under forest canopy.  

Through investigation and practical researches, Ms. Thai Huong, Founder and Chairman of TH Group's Strategic Council highly appreciated the potential, advantages of developing eco-tourism, planting herbals under forest canopy and providing wood materials, affirming that the opportunity to conduct the project is feasible.

Therefore, TH Group then sent a document to the Provincial Party Committee and the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province proposing two investment projects in Vu Quang district including high-tech agricultural zone and agricultural urban area project and one other on  forest, fruit and herbal plantation under forest canopy combining with eco-tourism and adventure tourism.

Hoang Trung Dung, Ha Tinh's  Provincial Party Committee Secretary, said the province has the great potential for tourism and hi-tech agriculture. However, the development of the two industries does not meet the expectations. Through TH Group's proposal, Ha Tinh committed to always accompany and create all favorable conditions for the group to take the next steps to implement the projects soon.

As TH Group's proposal, the hi-tech agricultural zone and agricultural urban area project is estimated to be 400 hectares. In which, the area of 100 hectares in waste disposal dump of  Ngan Truoi Irrigation project - Cam Trang (Sub-quarter 1, Vu Quang town) will be invested with two main items:

The hi-tech agricultural zone with a size of 55 hectares (including functional sub-divisions such as: administrative center area, research, application ,training and technology transfer  area,  hi-tech agricultural zone, product display and introduction area, model performance area and  backup area) and a  agricultural urban area with a size of 45 hectares.

The rest 300 hectares in Nuoc Nay mountain, village 3, Tho Dien commune, Vu Quang district will be invested to grow fruit trees and herbals.

It's expected that TH Group will invest a fruit processing line with capacity of 100 tons per day; a herbal processing line with capacity of 900 tons per year. After the preliminary processing, herbals and fruits will be shipped to a processing plant in Nu Tien, Nghe An.

In 2021, the project will focus on the preparatory phase of investment. After receiving investment license from the authorities in HaTinh, the project will be conducted within two years.

For the project on forest, fruit and herbal plantation under forest canopy combining with eco-tourism and adventure tourism, apart from 200 hectares in Tho Dien commune, Vu Quang district were cleared and proposed to hand  over to the group. TH Group is expected to expand and develop more on nearly 25,000 hectares of protection, production and special-use forests under the management of Vu Quang National Park to plant herbals under forest canopy and develop e-co tourism and adventure  tourism.

The project look for planting perennial timber and fruit trees to develop forest such as macadamia, cocoa, limes, and a number of herbals like Indian mulberry, Trilliaceae, Golden Camellia...

At the same time, TH Group will develop eco-tourism and adventure tourism as well as provide farming experience services, zero-waste eco-friendly farming activities without affecting the ecosystem; the rural educational tourism at the farm for local schools and surrounding areas.  

Expectation

Speaking to reporters or people in the province, Hoang Trung Dung, Ha Tinh's  Provincial Party Committee Secretary repeatedly expressed his concerns about the fact that the province does not  have many factories and projects to attract local workers.

Therefore, Ha Tinh people have to leave their homeland to work overseas or in the provinces far away. In addition, although Ha Tinh has a great potential and advantages to develop hi-tech agriculture  and tourism there is no enterprises of vision making investment sustainably.

TH Group is speeding up investment in the two key projects in Vu Quang district which is expected to change basically mindset on agriculture from manual, small-scale production as today to large-scale production applying high technologies in a synchronous and commercial manner, creating an important premise to push up the development of modern agriculture and commercial commodity production.

The projects promise to create jobs, stable income for thousands of local employees, effectively taking advantages of available resources and creating favorable conditions for both businesses and  Vu Quang district, Ha Tinh province to develop economy.

Regarding economic efficiency, the hi-tech agricultural zone and agricultural urban area project is forecasted to increase production value per unit area  by about 100 - 200%. Average revenue is estimated at over VND 2 trillion per year, having VND800 billion per year in profit.

The project also transfers technologies on plants and clean, high-quality food  through processing fruits and herbals; thereby increasing the economic value by an estimated 40-50% compared to current.

The project on forest, fruit and herbal plantation under forest canopy combining with ecotourism and adventure tourism will help effectively preserve and develop the precious and indigenous  herbals. Economic development under forest canopy both raises income for local people and protect forests and ecological environment.

Optimizing the effectiveness of sustainable land use, ensuring the protective functions of forests to adapt to climate change, mitigating natural disasters and conserving biodiversity...

Currently, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee assigns the departments, sectors, localities and relevant agencies to consider TH group's proposals and suggestions, instructing the group to complete the procedures for its investment proposal as soon as possible.

Bui Khac Bang, Chairman of Vu Quang district's People's Committee shared the projects proposed for investment in Vu Quang district by TH group are the key ones, contributing to  realizing two-thirds of the district's breakthroughs set in the Resolution of the district's Party Committee Congress for the term 2020-2025.

In the short run,  Vu Quang will push up extensive propaganda about the role of the investment projects for the social- economic development in the district ;asking relevant communes and towns to encourage people to coordinate with the authorities on land clearance, facilitating investors to carry out construction of the project items.
