Recently, Hung Son Hi-tech Agriculture Joint Stock Company (Pleiku City, Gia Lai province), a unit specializing in growing and exporting South American bananas, has achieved impressive export numbers. Mr. Nguyen Quang Anh, Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of the Company, said: Since the end of 2020, the Company has exported more than 3,000 tonnes of bananas to the Korean and Chinese markets, with a turnover export value reached about VND 50 billion.

"Gia Lai province has a temperate climate, which is very suitable for growing bananas, according to which the quality of bananas is outstanding and is favored by many markets in many countries. The Company will continue to cooperate with people to create a quality raw material area for export," said Mr. Quang Anh.

Gia Lai province has two enterprises selected by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to export the first shipments of Vietnam to the EU right after the EVFTA took effect.

With Vinh Hiep Company Limited (Vinh Hiep Company), just over the first month of 2022, it has exported about 13 tonnes of organic roasted and ground coffee to the Chinese market, 6 tons of instant coffee to Spain, and 13 tons of organic instant coffee to Korea.

As for DOVECO Gia Lai Fruit and Vegetable Import-Export One Member Company Limited, in addition to exporting products such as pineapple, mango, banana, NFC dragon fruit to foreign markets, DOVECO Gia Lai is also an enterprise approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. - Rural Development chose to export the first batches of Vietnamese passion fruit to the EU market when the EVFTA Agreement came into effect with a total output of nearly 32,800 tons, export turnover of nearly US$ 70 million.

In 2021, a number of businesses in Gia Lai province have made good use of incentives from the Vietnam - European Union Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) to bring their products to the EU market. Thanks to making good use of the tariff preferences specified in the agreement, the export turnover of enterprises has reached over $172 million, an increase of more than 40% compared to 2020, of which the EU market accounts for 60% of turnover. export.

Along with making good use of a number of free trade agreements such as the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), the Regional Comprehensive Due to Vietnam - European Union (EVFTA)..., many businesses in the province have promoted product consumption in markets in many countries around the world. Currently, the province has about 30 export enterprises in the markets of nearly 40 countries, of which European countries account for about 40% of the province's total export turnover.

Recently, the General Department of Customs of China has approved 10 banana-growing area codes in Chu Prong, Dak Doa and Mang Yang districts and 13 packing establishments for fresh fruits of Gia Lai to be officially exported to the market. Chinese school.

The granting of the growing area code is for the purpose of product traceability, control of the production process, control of product quality, and the correct creation of the distributor's requirements and quality standards. One of the factors that have helped Gia Lai's agricultural exports prosper in recent years is that businesses are gradually stepping up to access international e-commerce platforms to find customers.
