Among them, 19 products in the food group achieved 5-star OCOP recognition in 2023. Tra Vinh province has 3 products and these products are all exploited from coconuts, including: Fresh coconut nectar, coconut flower sugar and coconut wax fibres.
In the period 2022 - 2025, Tra Vinh province mobilizes many resources to implement the strategy to upgrade the coconut value chain, which prioritizes attracting investment, promoting linkages, and support, Encouraging businesses with strengths in deep processing technology, creating products with high-added value and stable consumption markets.
According to Mr. Pham Dinh Ngai, Managing Director of Tra Vinh Farm Company Limited, After the success of the first order, on average each month the Company will export to the US market 20 - 40 thousand bottles of fresh coconut nectar drink. Currently, the Company's 6 main products have been present in over 30 provinces and cities in the country; at the same time, they are exported officially to the Japanese, Dutch, German and American markets. The company currently has a 20ha raw coconut area that meets international standards such as the US, EU, Japan, and Canada...
Tra Vinh currently has the second-largest coconut growing area in the country, just behind Ben Tre province. Fresh coconut nectar drink being officially exported to the US marks a new milestone, opening up more opportunities to bring Tra Vinh specialities further and enhance the value of coconut products.
