The Ministry of Industry and Trade on August 20 sent an urgent message to import-export associations and Vietnam Logistics Association, urging companies to export products to China with planned export schemes under signed contracts.
As the COVID-19 pandemic has been developing complicated, authorities in Vietnam and China have tightened the implementation of disease prevention and control measures.
To facilitate the customs clearance and avoid congestions at border gates, the ministry highly recommended companies to use the official channel in which goods is exported under signed agreements.
The products would travel through the main border gates. Moreover, the products are packed and labelled properly, meeting the regulations of the importing country.
With such advantages, products exported via the official channel would have customs clearance procedures done faster than those considered as goods traded and exchanged by residents living in border areas.
If exporting companies can not arrange to use the official export channel, the Ministry of Industry and Trade suggested they have goods transported to border gates only when they and their clients reach an agreement, at least about a clear destination of consumption.
To agricultural products, exporters and importers should discuss and agree with each other on classification, package, and labelling products so that the exported products could satisfy requirements in quality, food safety, origin traceability and codes of cultivation areas. Thus the customs clearance process could be done smoothly.
