On the afternoon of October 3, under the supervision of functional agencies, the Sub-Department of Livestock Production and Animal Health coordinated with the People's Committee of Phuoc Tan Ward (Bien Hoa city) and the leadership of the Mango Garden tourist area to organize the destruction of tigers and leopards dying due to influenza A/H5N1 infection in this tourist area. Early destruction is to prevent the spread of influenza A/H5N1 to other animal species.

The interdisciplinary delegation also requested the Mango Garden tourist area to continue monitoring the disease situation in the herd, isolating sick animals, strictly implementing daily disinfection, and limiting people coming into contact with at-risk areas during the epidemic handling process. Do not import or export animals into the entire farming area with dead tigers and leopards.

In particular, staff must be fully equipped with protective gear. At the same time, monitor the health of people who have contact with dead tigers and leopards for timely treatment. The unit must coordinate with functional agencies in taking samples to monitor subjects suspected of being infected and organizing avian influenza vaccination for susceptible animals.
