It is known that these two pangolins (1 yellow pangolin, 1 Javan pangolin) were both discovered and caught by local people in the family's garden while they were looking for food. The families contacted and voluntarily handed them over to the authorities.
The yellow pangolin was handed over by a local named Ha Van Mang residing in Ban Phe, Tam Thanh commune, Quan Son district, Thanh Hoa province and a Javan pangolin by a person of Ban Ten, Thanh Xuong commune, Dien Bien district, Dien Bien province named Nguyen The Anh.
After receiving the information, the rescue team of Cuc Phuong National Park and Save Vietnam's Wildlife set out to rescue and bring these pangolins to the Rescue Center in Cuc Phuong safely.
Through initial examination, the health status of the two pangolins is stable and normal. In addition, there is very good news, not only for the rescue team, the people who do conservation work in Cuc Phuong in particular but for all those who work in the field of conservation in general, the yellow pangolin is pregnant.
