In Hanoi, the Vietnam Digital Economy Cooperative Alliance (VDECA) partnered with the Center for Development and Integration (CDI) and Net Zero Vietnam Company to organize a series of important events.
The three main contents included: the VietFarm Standards Workshop; the Agriculture Workshop aimed at Net Zero goals; and the final award ceremony for the "Three Good for Farmers" contest - the 4th VietFarm Award.
The event attracted 85 delegates, including representatives from 39 cooperatives and collaboration groups from four provinces: Hoa Binh, Hai Duong, Hanoi, and Son La. 15 outstanding units were honoured with the VietFarm 2024 Award, with a special prize worth approximately 20 million VND, to recognize their contributions to agricultural production with the criteria "Good Environment - Good Quality - Good Life."
At the event, VDECA presented a report on the results and lessons learned from implementing eGap & eGap.vn to serve the management, monitoring, transparent traceability, and market connection of agricultural products and food, and participated in signing a 5-party cooperation agreement.
Aimed at creating a platform for training, consulting, assessment, and verification of greenhouse gas inventories, applying technology, emission reduction solutions, and related services, the agreement focuses on sustainable development and fulfilling the Vietnamese Government's Net Zero commitment by 2050.
Within the agreement, VDECA is responsible for researching and implementing emission management solutions, applying eGap & eGap.vn to monitor low-emission farming practices in real time and serve as a basis for carbon credit certification.
