Coffee prices on March 24 globally

On the global market, coffee prices remained high today, supported by strong import demand and concerns over supply from Brazil due to adverse weather conditions. Both major coffee varieties, Robusta and Arabica, showed price stability, with a slight upward trend in the short term.

Global coffee price movements

  • Robusta prices: On the London exchange, Robusta futures for May 2025 remained stable at $ 2,380/ton. This marks the third consecutive week that Robusta prices have hovered at this high level, driven by strong demand from European and Asian markets.
  • Arabica prices: On the New York exchange, Arabica futures for May 2025 held firm at 186.50 cents per pound, unchanged from the previous session. However, forecasts suggest Arabica prices may rise in the near future due to supply disruptions in Brazil caused by extreme weather conditions.

Factors influencing global coffee prices

  • Adverse weather in Brazil: Major coffee-growing regions in Brazil are experiencing dry conditions, reducing harvest yields.
  • Rising consumption demand: Major markets such as the US, Europe, and the Middle East continue to ramp up coffee imports to meet consumer demand.
