Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee set the goal of the project to conserve and develop sarus cranes in Tram Chim National Park for the period 2022 - 2032 to restore and develop the red-crowned crane population by raising and releasing them back into the wild. During the period 2022 - 2032, the project's goal is to raise 100 cranes with at least 50 survivors. The released cranes can reproduce on their own, survive in the wild and live year-round in Tram Chim National Park.

Currently, infrastructure works serving the Sarus Crane Conservation and Rehabilitation Project are being accelerated by Tram Chim National Park. At the same time, they are coordinating with departments and branches to carry out tasks such as: adjusting "project" into "scheme", and organizing scientific seminars.

Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Thien said: The project to conserve and develop sarus cranes in Tram Chim National Park with the goal of restoring and developing the crane population by raising and releasing them back into the natural environment.
