From 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. on October 23, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Hanoi People's Committee, and provincial and municipal People's Councils will co-host a forum titled "Sharing information, Connecting Agro-forestry-Fisheries Trade Between Hanoi and Localities."

Its mission is to offer information and assistance to local governments, companies, cooperatives, and farmers in order to assist them in connecting agricultural production and consumption to domestic and international markets, while also encouraging the development of sustainable linkage chains.

The forum is intended to increase the value of agricultural products and farmers' earnings while also promoting agricultural commerce between Hanoi and other locations and linking producers of agroforestry and fisheries between localities and Hanoi marketplaces.

Additionally, the event will include a signing ceremony for the cooperative initiative "Ensuring food safety and improving the quality of agro-forestry-fisheries goods exchanged between Hanoi and other provinces and cities in the period 2021-2025."

The two aforementioned events were conducted online, with the primary bridge points being at the Hanoi People's Committee, Vietnam Agriculture News, the Trade Promotion Center for Agriculture, and the people's committees of 40 provinces and cities, and features about 600 attendees.

This is the eighth session of the forum, which is coordinated by the Executive Group of the Agricultural Consumption Connection 970 Forum, which is a subcommittee of the Steering Committee for Agricultural Market Development, MARD.

Agricultural Consumption Connection 970 Forum has organized seven forums as of September: Connecting agricultural consumption in Ho Chi Minh City in the face of social distance; Connecting agricultural consumption in the Central Highlands; Connecting agricultural consumption in Binh Duong province; and Connecting agricultural consumption in Dong Thap province, among others.

Hundreds of agricultural supply and demand contracts were concluded as a result of the forum, resulting in the establishment of dozens of sustainable agricultural production and consumption linkage chains.

The organizer anticipates that the eighth session will bring the linking activities into a more real-world setting, paving the door for new agricultural supply and demand contracts by allowing providers and buyers to "meet" at the forum. They may provide more specific information about their requirements for product categories, production, quality standards, harvest time, anticipated pricing, shipping destinations, and modes of transportation.

The buyer will submit an offer to purchase agricultural products with detailed information on how to order them; Vendors will connect to the forum via the chat box to suggest selling; the forum's connection support team will contact the seller directly to obtain detailed information about the product the seller wishes to sell; published a list of suppliers that met at least 80% of the buyer's requirements and were placed on the list to aid in the negotiation of commercial contracts for agricultural product supply and demand.

The organizer has already received requests from dozens of units with a need for agricultural goods. For instance, Tan Long Corporation wants to get Japonica, Dai Thom 8, Jasmin, ST24, and ST25 rice for internal consumption and export; Song Hong Food Joint Stock Company wishes to acquire entire pangasius and fillets to provide industrial parks and schools.
