This is an opportunity to foster the growth of the vegetable, flower, and fruit industry in Vietnam, thereby opening up new possibilities for collaboration, business ventures, as well as exchange and learning with experts and buyers from around the world.
Information regarding the event was shared at the press conference for the 6th International Exhibition & Conference on Vegetable, Flower, and Fruit Production and Processing Technologies in Vietnam (HortEx Vietnam 2024) held on the morning of November 24.
Mr. Nguyen Ba Vinh, Director of Minh Vi Exhibition and Advertising Services Company Limited (VEAS), stated that over the five editions of the exhibition, significant achievements have been made in terms of both the scale of organization and the number of participating businesses and trade visitors.
According to statistics collected from HortEx Vietnam 2023, more than 200 exhibitors in the field of vegetable, flower, and fruit production and processing technologies participated in the event, representing 26 countries and territories around the world, including Belgium, Spain, Israel, the Netherlands, France, Turkey, Italy, Kenya, New Zealand, Latvia, India, Cyprus, Germany, South Korea, the UK, the US, Sweden, Malaysia, Singapore, Greece, Thailand, China, Taiwan, and Vietnam. The event also welcomed over 8,000 trade visitors from more than 30 countries and territories.
Mr. Vinh added that HortEx Vietnam 2024 will be the leading B2B forum in Vietnam and the region, with an emphasis on the vegetable, flower, and fruit industry, facilitating business opportunities, trade cooperation, investment, and technology transfer. Additionally, it will serve as an effective bridge for Vietnamese products to access international markets.
HortEx Vietnam 2024 will also host a series of notable commercial activities such as the "Export Forum," which will serve as a direct connection point between reputable farmers, producers, and international customers. This forum aims to streamline the process of sourcing and consumption, thereby cutting down on time and costs. Additionally, businesses will be provided with updates on potential export markets and information regarding the export criteria for standardized products.
Furthermore, with the help of specialized workshops, international experts and leading organizations in the vegetable, flower, and fruit industry will provide market information, development trends, opportunities, challenges, and updates on advanced technologies and new products.
Notably, the event will also feature the first-ever "Southeast Asia Fruit Supply Fair", a combiniation between a B2B platform and a high-end fruit exhibition area. This initiative provides an opportunity for businesses from Southeast Asia to introduce export-standard varieties to both domestic and international visitors.
"This is the key to expanding long-term and sustainable cooperation with international customers from the EU, China, the US, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, India, Japan and so on," stated Mr. Vinh.
